The first dusting of snow across Europe! ⛷

Just in this week! The Alps have had widespread snowfall, with snow reaching below 2,000 meters for the first time and accumulating at higher altitudes. Though two months remain until the season kicks off, there is no time like the present to starting planning your ski holiday.

Visa Update for Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Here's another reason to add Sri Lanka to your list of future holiday destinations.

Sri Lanka now offers Free-Visa entry for UK residents, for visits from 1st October to 31st March 2025. However, travellers should still apply for their Visa on arrival, but it's free!! Previously you had to apply for a tourist visa in advance of your visit.

It's a destination that can be enjoyed at anytime of the year, and makes for a great winter sun break. Depending on the time of year through I'd recommend slightly different itineraries.

Currently working on an itinerary for a lovely family wanting to go at Christmas to see the sights but also catch some surf on Christmas Day 🏄‍♂️

Postcards from Corfu 🇬🇷

The Back to School vibes are certainly here as we wave goodbye to this year’s summer holidays, plus the rain isn't helping!

A huge thank you to my client Sarah for sharing these gorgeous pics from their family holiday in Corfu, where they stayed at the gorgeous Grecotel LUXME .

The family were keen to have 2 weeks, but not in the same place so I was able to create a trip tailored to their exact wishes. I utilised flights from our local airport , sourced a villa in the south of the island, which had the most amazing views and tavernas nearby, while they finished their trip in a fab family friendly hotel in the north, relaxing with an all-inclusive stay which had an aqua park onsite!

If you're still unpacking your bags and getting through the washing from your summer holidays, like we are! Now is a great time to start planning ahead for your 2025 travels, or if you can't wait until next year why not get away for October half term.

Rome 🇮🇹

I'm excited for clients heading off this weekend so I thought I'd share a few tips with you if you're thinking of visiting this remarkable Italian city.

🔸 Plan - to avoid the worst of the crowds consider visiting the main attractions like the Colosseum & Vatican early in the morning or later in the afternoon. Do walk and wonder the city at night, consider taking a tour of the Colosseum in the evening.

🔸 Pre-book - numbers to the main attractions are managed, so I'd highly recommend pre-booking your guided tours/tickets, there are also tours specifically for children too! Don't forget to take your ID with you.

🔸 What to wear - it's HOT in summer, light clothes, good walking shoes, take a fan and a refillable water bottle - there are water fountains everywhere. Shoulder/knees have to been covered when visiting religious sites, pack a linen shirt/trousers to pop on.

🔸 Where to eat - explore the back streets, when you're walking between attractions, you must explore the Trastevere neighbourhood. You will find lots of artisan shops, cafes, bars, craft beer, and trattorias in this funky area, better still would be to join a food tour which I can arrange for you.

🔸 Getting around - use public transport, the metro is super easy and the trams are fab too as you get to see more without doing a million steps! Taxis are a flat rate of 50 Euros to and from the airport or you can take the cheaper shuttle bus. The Roma Pass gives unlimited use for set periods of time. Travel smart though and keep your belongings close to you in crowded areas.

Finally, the river bank area around Castel Sant’Angelo is beautiful at night. Pre-book your ticket, and take in the view from the top, last entry is around 4pm. There are restaurants, bars and live music, and is well worth a visit after dark. The view of Vatican City from there is amazing.

Windsurfing nuts, Vasiliki awaits! 🏄‍♂️

If you're looking for great windsurfing conditions in Europe, Vasiliki is a top spot where windsurfers can learn in the light winds in the morning and practice with strong winds in the afternoon - great weather conditions for both kitesurfing and windsurfing.

Ponti Beach is one of the best beaches for it, so definitely pop this one on your list of places to visit and be gone with the wind! 🌊 🇬🇷

Stay at with . I've been many times, and can highly recommend it for families. The town is a short stroll away along the prom, which is lined with little fishing boats and lots of lovely bars, cafes and restaurants.
