My outdoor dog agility classes are doing well and the dogs/handlers are quickly learning new skills. Introduced them today to the tyre jump and by the end of the lesson all dogs were happily jumping through off the lead. I also am doing 121 behaviour lessons for various problems. It always makese very happy when I explain why the dog is behaving in a certain way and the owner realises what he has to change. Light bulb moment!

This year the weather has already interrupted my classes and 121 at my outdoor arena in Corfe Mullen. However we wait until it is not too hot or too wet and then carry on. In one week I cancelled classes because it was raining too much and then cancelled because it was too sunny. I look at the weather forecast constantly with my fingers crossed. I am lucky that we have a big oak tree in the corner of the arena which we can go under if it starts to rain or into its shade when we need the dogs and handlers to cool down. But in the end it is all worth it as the buzz you get from making progress with your dog either going off lead for the first time or doing a clear agility round etc is something very special. This year I have been doing more training with people outdoors at my own place in Corfe Mullen. Covid stopped me doing 1 2 1 house calls but I am still helping people with their dogs in a safe and secure outdoor area. Whatever you are struggling with I will be pleased to help you and your dog. Over the last couple of years we have all had to change our lifestyle to stay safe but at last we can now get back to "normal." I have been very fortunate because I could continue to teach dog Agility and Obedience outside in my purpose built arena. This seasons Agility classes started again last month and are as popular as ever with a nice group of dogs and handlers. I have also been doing 1-2-1 obedience/ behaviour lessons outside at Corfe Mullen and now I can also restart doing home visits.
