Notice of cyber security breach:
Please be advised that we have had a breach of our email system this week, following a sophisticated phishing attack.
As a result, you may have received an email from our team asking you to click a link that may look suspicious.
We have taken immediate security protocol actions, including updating our VPN, changing account passwords and enacting additional blockages and precautions. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The attack came about due to an existing supplier, who had been compromised, and the email was received by them directly (not spoofed) hence no hesitation to not click on the link. This was a “man in the middle” attack, which was able to steal MFA tokens once the user authenticated.

To mitigate future risk, our team are undertaking training to help identify possible risks. We are also working with our IT partner to setup our email portal so that it changes the branding if loaded from a site other than the default Microsoft one. This won’t stop the user from continuing, but it should present a warning to the user not to continue.

If you are unsure about the validity of any requests from our team, please contact us by calling (+44) 01202 746682.
Thank you for your understanding.

🛠️🛥️ Many NMEA 2000 network issues are due to power problems like an unpowered bus or low voltage. An intelligent diagnostic terminator (TER-U) can help! 🌟 With internal LEDs, it monitors bus voltage and signals issues, saving time and money for installers, technicians, and boaters.

Learn more here: https://actisense.com/news/diagnosing-power-issues-on-your-nmea-2000-network-with-smart-terminators/

Issues with NMEA 2000 networks often occur simply because the bus is not powered or the voltage is too low.

⛵It's been impressive watching what Pip Hare Ocean Racing has achieved since her last Vendee Globe. We remember watching her "little dot" on our screens, while we were all locked down during the pandemic, cheering her on to complete the race.

Now, 4 years later, she is about to attempt to become the first woman in history to complete the gruelling race twice. On the 29th May, she will set sail from New York, where she will commence racing to Les Sables D’Olonnes. Then, the list of Vendee skippers will be confirmed, and the grand departure for the Vendee Globe is on 10th November.

We're proud to see the Pip still relies on Actisense products onboard, from our NMEA 2000 gateways to our Quick Network Blocks, 4 way tee pieces and more. We'll be cheering her on all the way. What an amazing woman she is 👊⛵🧡

The Engine Monitoring Unit (EMU-1) now provides support for 6 gauge sender inputs, 4 alarm inputs and 2 tacho inputs. But what exactly can you monitor with it?

We created this handy graphic of gauge and alarm references with the associated PGN that can be used on your NMEA 2000 network.

💡We have two AUX ports that are currently unused. What else would you like to see monitored by the EMU-1? We'd love to hear your ideas - get in touch with your requests!
