Dolphins in the swell 🐬
Dolphins in the swell 🐬
We had the pleasure of a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins joining us on our way back to Islay a couple of weeks ago!
The small pod, made up of adults, juveniles and calves, welcomed us on route back from Ballycastle ☺️
They were very playful in the rough sea, leaping from the water and bow riding our boat!
What a treat 🤩
The Corryvreckan Cauldron 🌊
A few drone clips from our charter up to Corryvreckan last December
Always extremely nerve wracking flying a drone over this stretch of water!
And even still, nothing does this tidal phenomenon justice apart from visiting it for yourself 🌪️
Big thanks to Ben Shakespeare Photography - Islay for letting Gus use your drone! Very trusting of him 😅
Dolphins at sunrise ☀️
Dolphins at sunrise ☀️
Captain Gus managed to capture these beautiful videos of bottlenose dolphins last week!
Heading out just before sunrise, the pod were very active and inquisitive with the boat
Even the wee calves with them 😊
We’ve had, most likely, the same pod hang around the area this week too 🤩
More videos coming soon!
Not long until this is our regular view ❤️🦞
We are counting down the days until we’re having our popular Seafood Tours every week!
A delicious Islay Lobster & Crab platter, fresh bread & salad, homemade dips
And let’s not forget, the amazing hand-dived Islay Scallops cooked on the bbq on the boat 😍
Is it as mouthwatering as we think it is? 🤩
All whilst enjoying some wildlife watching, beautiful scenery and world famous whisky distilleries!

Team day 😁
Team day 😁
We had an absolutely fantastic day clay pigeon shooting last Friday!
Such a fun way to celebrate the amazing season, winning awards and all the hard work everyone had put in over the past year 🎉
Huge thank you to Islay Estates for hosting us! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day thanks to the wonderful estate team there!
And to Bridgend Hotel for the delicious meal ☺️
In celebration of World Fisheries Day
we thought we would reshare our reel which shows a journey from creel to plate…
🛥️ All of the shellfish for our seafood tours is caught by local Islay fishermen on the Lucky Lucy boat! The crew are Sean and Lewis
🦞 They catch predominantly lobster and crab around the shores of Islay, with langoustine occasionally on the menu too!
🌍 From sea to plate, the seafood travels less than 5 miles, and with fishing practices in place, such as notching the tails of females carrying eggs, the shellfish on our tours is very sustainable!
👀 You can actually see most of the Lucky Lucy’s fishing grounds whilst on one of our seafood tours. This shows not only how local the food is, but also how clean and healthy the waters around Islay are!
👨🍳 All the food for our tours is prepared in our kitchen by our in-house chef Leo. He steams the seafood, makes his homemade dips, mixes our special garlic-chilli butter and prepares all of the other accompaniments.
🤿 All of the scallops on our tours are hand-dived from the Islay coast, a sustainable fishing method in comparison to dredging. They are cooked on the barbecue on the boat during the tours. This is often the star of the show!
🐚 Because our scallops are so fresh, you can sample them raw and raw-whisky marinated too - a very different taste experience!
Join our crew on our award-winning Seafood Tours in 2025 and have a taste of Islay for yourself!
