Aquabiking is a gentle low impact exercise. The bikes are lightweight and very easy to pedal across the water. The pedals drive a small propellor which requires minimal power to turn - its like being on a spin bike with no resistance.

If the sea is calm and clear you may look down to the sandy seabed, past swaying seaweed and shoals of sand eels. Oystercatchers, shags, gulls and other seabirds are a common sight. You may spot a gannet dive or a heron fishing.
Barrel, compass and moon jellyfish may drift past. A seal may pop up close by and if you are very lucky a dolphins may splash about. Every tour around the bay is different keep your eyes peeled you never now what you may see. 👀

L is for Length of Session!
Our most popular "Aquabike Experience" session is around 90 minutes long. We kit you out with a buoyancy aid, fit your bike to ensure you can pedal comfortably, have a quick briefing , then get out on the water for 60 minutes. This allows time to go right around the Bay at a leisurely pace - stopping for photos if you like.
We also offer a "Taster Session" 60 minutes long- approximately 30 minutes on the water. If you would like a session at a different time or length to those on the website please contact us and we will try to make a plan!

One common question we get asked is "How fast can Aquabikes go?" Aquabikes have a top speed of 15km/hour approx 8 knots - not bad for human powered watercraft.
After speeding round the bay you may be tempted for a sea dip and sauna at Kishtey Çheh Beach Spa or Coffee at .iom at the Cosy Nook

The island is renowned for its changeable weather and 4 seasons in one day. We watch the weather carefully to ensure it is safe to go to sea. Rain does not stop play, but we do not go out if it is too windy or if there is large swell in the bay.
