The end of puffin season is rapidly approaching. Soon these lovable birds will leave their nesting site and head offshore for the remainder of the year. We do occasionally spot them at sea outside of breeding season, but they look a little less colourful and a bit more grey! Don't miss out on your opportunity to spot the puffins as they won't return to land again until next spring!

The warmer weather is here and the sea is beautiful, clear and calm - great for swimming. It’s worth keeping this advice in mind in case you ever need it.
❓ What should you do if you find yourself in difficulty in the water?
🏊♀️ When panicked, our instincts are to try to swim hard to reach safety.
❌ But your best chance of staying safe is to fight this instinct and float to live.
👂🏼 Tilt your head back with your ears submerged
🗣️ Relax and try to breath normally
🤚🏻 Move your hands to help you float
🚨 If you see someone in trouble, call Coastguard 999.

The Northern Lights in Cornwall
This was my second location for the night. When I first arrived, there were thick clouds overhead. But after about an hour of waiting in the cold, the clouds parted to reveal the aurora still going strong. It was such an exciting night, I feel so lucky to have witnessed visible aurora at only 50 degrees North! I started the night just after sunset, and got home as the sun was rising. Both the camera and my batteries completely drained 😴
I can't wait to process the timelapse I captured here, it's going to be incredible!
