“Knockalla” is a luxury, spacious 4-bedroom house sited in the rural apple growing “Orchard County” of Armagh. Centrally located just a few miles outside Portadown and Lurgan and just over 30 minutes and 90 minutes from Belfast from Dublin respectively and close to main Motorway (M1) Junctions and 10 minutes from the Banbridge Junction of the main Belfast/Dublin road.

ted site with amazing views of the rolling picturesque countryside in the townland of Knocknamuckley which locally translates to ‘The hill of the pig’ , humorously the Irish/Gaelic translation for pig is ‘Muc(k)’. The meticulously clean property is suitable for guests who will care for it as their own and the perfect choice for those wishing to experience staying in a spacious rural setting but yet centrally located and where you fully relax after an eventful-rich day. The highest comfort and the perfectly equipped rooms and other spaces awaits you with crisp linens, towels and toiletries provided for your comfort and convenience.

“Knockalla” has proven to be ideal for extended family breaks and gatherings and whilst welcoming in every way but may not be suitable for non-family parties so best to enquire first. On arrival you are immediately greeted by a bright hall with a vaulted 3 storey ceiling and is welcoming for the whole family and friends alike. Each bedroom is equipped with TV, Wi-Fi services and audio services and a computer and printer is available for guest’s sole use should you need to keep in contact. The “Bramley” master suite greets you with a magnificent king sized bed and super deluxe mattress with crisp white cotton bed linen and various types of suitable pillows with an adjoining en-suite . All guaranteed to give you a perfect night’s sleep. The “Delicious” room has mountain views as far as the eye can see also with an equally inviting king sized bed and quality luxury mattress and the same high quality bed linens. The similarly deluxe “Scrumptious” room overlooks the rolling orchards and hills – arguably the best views in the home. You can almost pick the apples or imagine the taste of the locally produced apple juice or cider (many of the apples are used from the orchards for world famous ciders). The “Pippin” boasts yet another king sized bed with an additional single bed making it the ideal family room also being located at the front of the house and deliberately sited away from any ambient noise in the house or the south facing garden and patio spaces. A full sized cot is also available on request. The spacious family “Pink lady” bathroom with a free standing bath and walk-in shower is a sight to behold enjoying spectacular elevated views of the rolling countryside whilst soaking in the flat roll-top bath! The strategically placed south facing spacious open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas boasts a large sunroom is a wonderful space with plenty of light flooding the area. The all year round sunsets are amazing and the site enjoys the sun from sunrise to sunset.

“Knockalla” is the deal spot from which to explore the area’s beautiful scenery and places to see to ‘Embrace the Giant Spirit’ for Belfast, Giants Causeway and North Coast (catch The Gobbins or Carrick-A Rede- on the way), Titanic Belfast, Game of Thrones sites or wider afield. All are within easy reach of day trips. There are also plenty of nearby attractions to visit, marvel at the Georgian City of Armagh, the Ecclesiastic capital of Ireland or soak up the area’s watersports or take a walk on the wild side at Lurgan Park and Lough Neagh. “Knockalla” is also perfect for ‘overspill’ accommodation for those attending events in the area and can typically accommodate 9 ‘headspaces’ in main house. A further 4 headspaces may be available (on request) in the adjoining and yet private and separate self-contained “Orchard suite”. This annex is an ideal additional space and a perfect ‘centre of operations’ for outside catering and services. Ask for more details. This week has just been fabulous Knockalla with the south facing garden and hot tub pergola area. Friends and guests Mervyn Mccutcheon enjoying the fine weather. There's a cancellation for next weekend and I just checked the weather forecast and it's more of the same. So it's either guests or own party or both for next weekend?
