Evening.

Preparing to post this has been a looooonnnnngggg journey but it’s gotta be done so here we go…. You may have noticed the last few FB posts are from ‘G & B’ not ‘B & K’. Gary and Beth have been looking after things whilst we sorted a few personal bits n bobs out our end. Luckily for us, ‘G & B’ have loved it that much, they’ve decided to stay on and take things over. We’ll explain….

In 2017 we were fortunate to do a bit of travelling with a very close friend around Vietnam and Cambodia. This trip made us realise quite a few things…

On coming home from our mini-expedition we decided to ‘loosely’ look around at caravan options nearby for us to spend some quality time with loved ones, something we’d reflected on whilst away. It wasn’t long before an opportunity came up for us to buy a beautiful van on the best pitch ever in the lovely Greenacres (just a couple of minutes from the beach). We were sssoooo excited to get the keys and once in, we got to work: Jet washing, polishing, stripping, cleaning, replacing, moving, tidying, re-fitting, servicing, maintaining and adding little bits of our feel and energy making the van our ‘Home From Home’. Initially this was only for us and the family. With some friends on site doing a few rentals a year to cover costs, we thought we’d try our hand at it. We got to work again, lol… set up an FB page, built a website, did a professional video of the van for all to see exactly what it’s like, started advertising and before we knew it we were booked from March to June with the phone ringing off the hook for further dates. That’s when we decided to buy a 2nd van. This new van would be for the family and the 1st van we could turn into a permanent rental. We literally put our heart and soul into running Trecco Bay Luxury Caravan Hire. Nothing was too much trouble, we were on call 24/7, answering emails / texts / FB messages within minutes wherever we were and whatever we were doing. We did our absolute best to make sure all your needs were catered for so you could just reeeeellllaaa###…. Our guests were our priority and of huge importance to us. Along the way we made some lifelong friends, had some amazing laughs and loved every second we had by the beach.

As we said, we put our heart and soul into this and sometimes when a little bit of heart and soul is suddenly taken away, the impact creates waves which can’t be ignored. With that said, we’ve made one of the toughest decisions ever. It’s time to move on. It’s time to let someone else step in, take over and have the 'caravan by the beach' experiences we’ve been fortunate to have.

THANK YOU to all on site who became our friends. What an incredible community. Everyone looking out for each other. Assisting us in ssssoo many ways, we’ll NEVER forget that!! You know we’ll still be messaging you whether we’re there or not.

THANK YOU to the staff on site. What a tough job you’ve got. You’ve always been good to us and even this past week have still helped us out. Can’t wait to see how the park develops, the next few years are gonna be insane.

Finally, THANK YOU to all of our guests that have booked, stayed, come back again and again. Without YOU, our unplanned holiday let venture wouldn’t have been as successful as it was. THANK YOU for the journey. We seriously appreciate every single one of you.

For us now, we’re gonna wait for the pandemic to calm down a bit and take a nice fat holiday. Fat, because we are gonna eat like the world is running out of food!!!
