Hi, a couple of updates.

Selling
The recommended sale price has been amended to:
£112,100 + site fees + £75 fuel deposit offers accepted.

Hiring
We'll continue to hire out the lodge while we still own it. As with the previous update, it is probably best to hire at shorter notice but we can note your name down for later in the year (and not take a deposit) if you'd like.

If you've already contacted me about hiring for this year, I will get back to you in the next couple of days.

Hi all and Happy New Year!

We have an announcement to make about the Lodge going into 2024. In short, my Dad has decided to put the Lodge up for sale (see below). He and my Mum originally bought the Lodge as a get away for them (and the rest of the family). Since my Mum passed a few years back it's always been on my Dad's mind about selling up, but for the past few years we've taken over the reins for him whilst he's contemplated this and we've hired it out for him. It's been very rewarding seeing the fun that people have been having while staying at the Lodge and it's been great to have many repeat customers! Thanks for the kind reviews and sharing the page with people you know, it's been greatly appreciated.

So what's next for the year?

Selling
My Dad has set a price of £131,000 ono (inc VAT) for the full sale of the lodge. If anyone would be interested in taking the Lodge on, please feel free to contact us in the usual way. We're hoping that the Lodge will be displayed on the Aberdunant Hall website soon. https://www.aberdunant.com/caravans-for-sale-north-wales/ (it says Caravans, there are also Lodges on this page.)

Hiring
We're still happy to hire out the Lodge as long as we still have it, my Dad has advised that it'll likely still be with us until the Summer and he is happy for us to take bookings until then. Obviously if the Lodge sold quickly then this would change and we'd have to discuss this when handing over to the new owners, so the further ahead things are booked the more difficult it is to guarantee that the booking would still be available (we would return all money already paid to you in this instance though, it'd just that it'd mean rebooking elsewhere). We are still working out prices for the coming year as energy and cleaning prices continue to rise, but we've always tried to maintain a good price and we will hopefully do so once again.

Blessed with lovely sunny weather so took a visit to Black Rock Sands beach 🏖️ and had a little swim 🏊‍♀️ Looks like you can canoe and paddle board aswell!

Phew! Put a new trailing app to test and it come with up with this moderate but beautiful suggestion.. Nantmor, Llyn Dinas and Beddgelert Circular. We started at finished at Beddgelert so a yummy ice cream was had by all to help us cool down 😎

Nar I don’t want that treat.. said NO DOG EVER! 😂 we sniffed out plenty of raw treats (duck, goose, chicken, rabbit and camel) and a Barney Banana toy. 🐈🐠Woof n Roll Pet Shop 🐕🐇is on High Street in Porthmadog. They sell much more than just dog treats! The lady who served us was really friendly and helpful. No doubt a return visit is on the books!

So we do like roast 🍽️ on a Sunday and in the past we’ve eaten around lunch time so never had any issues finding a place to eat.. Until today! Went into Porthmadog around 7pm and we found most places (pub type) finish up serving food at 4pm. But we found one! Tafarn Pencei Cafe Bar on the harbour saved the day.. or evening as the case may be. Food was definitely home made delicious however there was a limited menu. Food served till 8pm. Get in! 🍗🍔🥧 We had beef smash burger, chicken burger and pie of the day (fish) 🤤

✋🏻Highly recommended even though we’re in March and we’re wearing rain coats 😂 Yummy, scrumy Made In Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ice cream 🍨 Cariad Gelato is situated on High Street in Porthmadog. We tried the specials Cherry Bakewell and Chocolate Orange (my niece even got a little taster of their strawberry ice cream on the top of her chocolate cause she couldn’t decide) Lovely staff.
