A little village located in the heart of Snowdonia National Park in Gwynedd, Wales, has been hailed for its balance between having breath-taking mountainous surroundings and being a short drive away from the beach.

Overlooking Harlech’s huge, peaceful beach is a symbol of past conflict – mighty Harlech Castle, a World Heritage Site. There’s good access to the beach from a 440 yard/400m path from the car park close to the railway line crossing. And it’s not just flat sand – the beautiful sand dunes here are a prized feature, the reason behind the area’s designation as a National Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Harlech is just 20 mins from the site and a great place to visit.
There are other attractions in or close by to Harlech, like The Children's Farm Park or Llanfair Slate Caverns. I will include the links to their websites.

Happy St David’s Day!
We are launching our St David’s Day Appeal today and have this year set a target of £15,000. The money will go towards the annual running costs of our live stream cameras, which enable visitors to observe what the birds are up to on large screens at Pont Croesor, and on YouTube for our followers further afield. We have spent a lovely few days at Squirrels Retreat. It was a bit of a working holiday, because after the winter months the garden needed a good tidy up. It was so lovely to see the daffodils I had planted last year in bloom and signs that spring is almost here. We popped up a nest box with a camera inside it and if we do get any occupants I will post updates on here❤️
