Some good news for Portree, thanks Rob

Rob, from Kyle Post Office will be bringing post office services back to Portree for Thursdays and Fridays starting Thursday 30/3.

I will be open 9-5 with no closure for lunch so if you need to use us on your lunch break I will be here.

Wow

This is the reason I have 4 wheel drive! A huge dump of snow overnight on the Isle of Skye. The most I've seen down to sea level since living here, 8 inches in places if not more with some drifts of snow.

The road to the Quiraing is not one to be attempted without a suitable vehicle in conditions like these, with large drifts of snow across the road. Fortunately I've plenty of experience with snow and ice driving after living in the Canadian Rockies.

I'll post a slightly wider shot too in the comments below. Please do share and spread the snow love!
