Wholesome day in the woods at Dusty Clough yesterday. Kids played, made a fire, drank hot chocolate, Tim chopped up the fallen trees and Uncle Ben came to help clean up and plan our ideas! We all came home feeling grounded and fresh.

We had trouble defrosting the tap to fill the hot tub for this weekends guests! Several kettles of boiled water tipped over it didn’t work but the blow torch did 😂

So that’s the end of our first full summer with @dustyclough It’s been a busy one with lots of praising guests, keeping on top of the garden and of course making sure the property is clean and inviting! A little road trip from Dusty Clough Barn towards Cow Ark on the Roman Road to Newton is a great little loop to drive. Fantastic views looking over the forest of Bowland and beyond. As winter is ending and signs of Spring are showing, I’m reflecting on the time we’ve had working with Dusty Clough. Our first winter with her. She’s been an absolute pleasure! Her surroundings are just breathtaking. Winter really is very pretty. I’m excited to see Spring popping up. Ohh the bluebells! It really is the small things in life that bring in happy feelings! This walk is just a short distance from Dusty Clough Barn. It takes you over Longridge Fell and down into Stoneyhurst which is full of history. Did you know J R R Tolkien took lots of inspiration from Stoneyhurst in the Ribble Valley when writing Lord of the rings. You will find the walk ‘Tolkien trail’ which leads you through the foot steps of JRR Tolkien through woodlands and beautiful landscapes of the Ribble Valley #ribblevalley #stoneyhurst #luxury
