The old fishing village of Porthdinllaen has a deep-rooted attachment to the sea. The sandy beach spreads itself along a perfect cove and natural harbour, with a Lifeboat Station at one end.

How it all started. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Almost 10 years ago we re- discovered the beauty of North Wales following a rash decision to buy an old hairdresser’s in Blaenau Ffestiniog ! This turned out to be one of the most rewarding gambles. We walked and biked around Snowdonia (instead of renovating the property !).

Exploring further afield we stumbled across the little gem that is Morfa Nefyn. On that first day In Morfa Nefyn we purchased the first Coastal Retreat apartment and have not looked back since. A truly special place that just makes us smile every time we go.

Typically our guests have been returning to Morfa Nefyn for many years (often passing the secret down the generations), but the one thing we all share is the love for the area and the friendly locals that really do make it a very special place. The Ty Coch Inn on the beach and the Cliff’s bar on the Wales Coast Path make this an unforgettable place.

Such a beautiful Coast Path ❤️

Wales is one of a few countries in the world to have a continuous coastal footpath stretching its entire length of coastline. The path was officially launched on 5th May 2012 as a visitor destination – free to use and open all year round. This footpath is called the Wales Coast Path and is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year!
