There have been a number of changing rules and regulations at airports over recent months, with many rules varying depending on where you are flying from.

VAPES !!!

V**e devices and e-cigarettes should be packed in carry-on luggage only, with a maximum of 20 batteries. Refills and e-liquids must also be kept in hand luggage with a maximum bottle size of 100ml.

Both of these items need to be packed in your hand luggage, not in your checked in baggage due to the lithium batteries inside the v**e.

Airport security can confiscate the items and you might be called back to open and check

FOODS !! SAVE MONEY @ THE AIRPORT & TAKE YOUR OWN

Contrary to popular belief, you CAN bring your own food to the airport. Solid food like sandwiches and snacks are allowed.

LIQUIDS !!

There are new rules in place at some UK airports, including Birmingham Airport, Bristol Airport, Teesside Airport, London City Airport, Aberdeen Airport and Leeds Bradford

MILK & WATER IS ALLOWED IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN UNDER 3 !!!

Milk or water is also allowed through security at all airports if you’re travelling with children under three, so there’s no need to worry about feeding youngsters mid-flight.

Please when you are booking on line DOUBLE CHECK your return landing date and time of arrival back in the UK
So Many people are making the mistake of putting there take off date
This is causing us lots of problems trying to rearrange pickups

“The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business”

Running a business is extremely hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

People expect you to be available 24/7 and at the drop of a hat because “you work for yourself so you can make time” unfortunately this is not the case most of the time.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance ever.

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!
