📣 Today, Keep Britain Tidy announced the cleanest beaches in Britain for 2021. Thanet received 5 International Blue Flags and 5 Seaside Awards. 👏👏

⛱ International Blue Flags have been awarded for Minnis Bay; West Bay; St Mildred’s Bay; Margate Main Sands and Stone Bay.

🌊 Seaside Awards for Westbrook Bay; Botany Bay; Joss Bay; Viking Bay and Ramsgate Main Sands.

Work takes place all year round to maintain our 19 miles of coastline and these awards can only be achieved with the continued hard work of council officers, partners, businesses, as well as all the volunteers and residents who help to keep our beaches as clean and enjoyable as possible. A really big thank you to everyone involved.
