Not all heroes wear capes! Kirsty from Jimmy Mac's - Redcar was going to attend the event, was GUTTED it was cancelled, so is taking a punt and putting the event on at her venue!!!

So we’re back on! 8pm-10pm THIS THURSDAY🙏🏻

Please support the event folks! It’s a big risk for a venue to take this on with just 3 days to promote it (and they’re closed tomorrow).

Redcar Kite Festival is Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council's brand-new family friendly festival happening Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 May at Majuba Beach. We’ll be welcoming breath-taking kites from around the world, brought to Redcar for the first time by our partner Northern Kite Group.
We’ll be celebrating Redcar’s natural environment as the wind whips off the sea and sends our kites spiralling skyward in a spectacular display of colour and movement 🌊🏖☀🌬
It runs 11am-5pm both days and is free and accessible to all.

🎻🎻Royal Northern Sinfonia Orchestra live at Kirkleatham Walled Garden 🎻🎻

Fancy a night of fabulous music by the renowned Royal Northern Sinfonia right on your doorstep? Join us at Kirkleatham Walled Garden on Wednesday 13 March at 6.30pm for Our Music, Our Way - a thrilling concert from the North’s leading orchestra.

Be prepared for the Royal Northern Sinfonia to take you on a captivating musical journey, including two exciting new premiers of music written by young people and composer Michael Betteridge.

Described as ‘inventive’ (The Financial Times) ‘bold’ and ‘colourful’ (The Times) and ‘hip and edgy’ (The Independent), Michael Betteridge is a composer with an interest in creating work that challenges and inspires audiences and performers alike. His music has been performed across the world including Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Spain, and the USA and has been broadcast on BBC Radios 3 and 4.

He has been working with young people in schools in Redcar and Cleveland to explore their sense of place and identity and this exciting new work will be performed for the first time at Kirkleatham as part of an exhilarating evening of music.
