Spring is in the air and the sun is shining!! 🌷🪻☀️

Are you still thinking about booking an Easter, Summer or Half-Term Holiday?

We still have availability for the Easter School Holidays and some of the Summer School Holidays!

We'd obviously prefer it if you booked directly with us. This will save you money and the card processing/booking fees, as well as saving us any third-party host booking fees also! We can also offer a discount for fortnightly bookings or returning guests.

We are still 2 minutes walk from beautiful Portreath Beach and with the A30 work now complete it's even quicker to get here!

We have been preparing the property for the arrival of our first guests for the season, from Germany. Whilst we are here there is lots to do, and we get little free time, but we got a couple of north cliff walks in. Stunning scenery and the beautiful blue sea is just on the doorstep... .

That's the jet washing/cleaning done for the patio, courtyard garden and furniture. Literally, we only had time to sit on it for a quick cuppa!! As well as the joy of sieving all the sand out of the gravel in the front garden 🙄! It's incredible how much sand blows in the garden over the winter and its been a wet one! Summer is soon on it's way 😎

After a few days back to prepare the cottage for the upcoming season; You only have to see our modern powder-coated aluminium exterior light to see just how harsh the salt air environment and wind blown sand and sea spray can be!!

Replaced with a new one, but the old one needed drilling off the wall as the screws seized/rusted in. This is why we have high quality marine grade stainless steel screws and fixings in the garden, that survive well!!

We are almost ready to open for Summer 2020. Took time out today to do the beautiful coastal path walk from Portreath to Porthtowan along the old cliff path and then back along the road and tramway. Beautiful colours of the heather and turquoise sea on a sunny day 😎

I've posted similar photos before but wanted to show the differing colours throughout the year. It's one of the many beautiful walks right on our doorstep here.

We are now fully booked for July and August, but why not try and get away in September or October, or even later in the year? The area will be quieter then, with less people during these unprecedented times of the Coronavirus pandemic!

We take weekly bookings from Saturday to Saturday and prices are much lower out of peak season (maximum £800/week in September and maximum £700/week in October). Lowest off-peak price is just £475/week from November and we are open all year round!!

We offer a full refund on bookings if they are cancelled due to government lockdown.

We've just doubled our internet speed to 72mbps download, thanks to BT keeping their prices down and being close to the cabinet!

Free to use, and unlimited, for all our guests to use when they stay!

We are taking bookings for 2020 now, so book early to avoid disappointment, as the summer holiday weeks soon go!

Why not book a weeks winter break or enjoy your Christmas at our beautiful cosy cottage? We have availability for our first Christmas week (21st - 28th December) to celebrate in style!

Due to a cancellation we now also have 28th December - 4th January available too 🍾

We only opened in June so this will be the first Christmas we are open for up to 6 guests. We also have a brand new Christmas tree, so why not enjoy a bit of luxury and relaxation by the sea?

You can put your feet up in the lounge with the multi fuel burner roaring and enjoy a festive drink! Feel free to cook a nice roast dinner or go to one of the 3 local pubs for one. You might instead opt for a nice homemade Cornish pasty and a pint of Cornish ale! There are plenty of local coastal walks and activities to enjoy, and the beach is only a stones throw away.

Why not go surfing on new years day or even take a dip in the sea if you're feeling brave! You can also work of your festive indulgences with some challenging North cliff walks!!

Even out of season, the scenery walking between Portreath and Porthtowan from the cottage (8.4 miles there and back via the coastal path and then the tramway) is simply stunning!!

Yesterday (26th September) we were fortunate with a break in the weather and also very lucky to see a pair of Peregrine Falcons and a Kestrel on the walk!!

We are fairly booked up, but we have half term week (Saturday 26th October to Saturday 2nd November) still available, and also Christmas week. So if you're a keen walker or bird watcher why not book a lovely week break 😎

We are open all year round and yesterday just shows there's more to Portreath than just the beach and buckets and spades!
