Tucked away from the road in Tolskithy valley, this detached cottage affords privacy while retaining easy access to local facilities, the sea (Portreath beach is only 5 minutes away!), beaches, sandy coves and places of interest. It is quaint and full of charm with character
features such as a wood burning stove, stained glass, beamed and vaulted ceilings. Upstairs are two bedrooms with views of the tree lined valley, one with a double bed, the other has the option for either two single beds or a king sized bed. A spacious family sized living area with beamed ceiling has a TV/DVD player, table and chairs to seat six, along with a comfortable three piece suite and wood burning stove. A small annex is attached to the lounge and can be curtained off with the sofa used as a 4ft double bed, or it can be used as an additional seating area. There is a large modern kitchen with a four ring halogen cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and washing machine. It is well stocked with cooking equipment and crockery stored in the dresser. There is a small eating area in the kitchen so that you can enjoy breakfast with a view of the garden. The family friendly enclosed garden includes a patio and small garden area with outdoor dining furniture and BBQ so you can sit outside enjoying the best of our Cornish weather. Behind the cottage garden with mature flowering shrubs and a herb bed is a covered courtyard suitable for storing bikes etc. along with an outdoor tap for washing down surf boards, wetsuits and dogs! Just outside the cottage there is a covered parking space for your car. Stepping out of the cottage you can access a public footpath which leads from your front door up the valley. This links into other longer walks, or you can choose a small circular walk Ideal for taking you or the dog out for a breath of fresh air! Within easy reach of the very best of Cornwall, tucked away in the historic Tolskithy Valley, Pixie Cottage offers the ideal setting for exploring Cornwall. It is the perfect base for a Cornish holiday with a prime, central location and excellent road connections including being five minutes from the A30, making it easy to access all areas of Cornwall. Only five minutes by car you can arrive at: Portreath Beach; Tehidy Country Park with its café, bike rides and miles of woodland walks (which are buggy and wheelchair friendly); Tehidy Park Golf Club; Mount Pleasant Stables; or the Coast to Coast Cycle Trail. Less than 30 mins by car are many other beaches within easy reach including four miles of golden sands at Hayle, Porthtowan Beach, St. Agnes and Chapel Porth. From Pixie cottage you can enjoy cycling trails, coastal walks, water sports including sailing, wind surfing and canoeing at Stithians Lake Country park, surfing, National Trust and English Heritage country gardens and castles. Then of course via the A30 well known tourist attractions such as the Eden Project, Heligan Gardens, Newquay Zoo, Crealy Adventure Theme park, Paradise Wildlife park, Dairyland, Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, Lands End, Tate Modern St.Ives and Flambards Theme park with fairground rides for people of all ages and its Victorian Village and Britain in the Blitz museums. Locally (2 minutes by car) there is a Co-op food store, pub with restaurant, pharmacy and post office. Then 5 minutes by car are Tesco, Tesco Extra and Morrison’s.
