FUNDRAISING IN THE DALES FOR CANCER RESEARCH** stay at doggy friendly Little Nook, Grinton near Reeth 18th and 19th October.

As PINKtober continues there are two great events in Reeth on Friday the 18th and Saturday 19th October. Little Nook is available if you’d like to join us to raise much needed funds for cancer research, oh, and to enjoy all that Swaledale has to offer.

..** CHARITY COMEDY NIGHT IN REETH** Friday 8th November.
The weather is beautiful up here in the Dales today. This is the view from the rear garden at Little Nook. The Rowan tree is full of berries and we can hear the river Swale running its course in the distance. We don’t have much availability over the next few months but we still have the Friday night of the 8th November available. That evening there is a Comedy night at Reeth Memorial Hall to raise funds for Cancer Research … tickets still available from the Black Bull Hotel in Reeth. Come and make a night of it for a worthy cause.

…we are doggy friendly here at Little Nook. One of our guests has brought her two labs Poppy and Daisy along with her and today they have met the two labs we are dog-sitting for, Scout and Jem, so it’s been lab central!…
There are lots of dog walks on the doorstep in Grinton and all the pubs and cafes in the area are pooch friendly.

…the 13 mile Swale Trail runs through our little village and is loved by mountain bikers and walkers alike.. first of all take a stroll through the churchyard of St Andrews in Grinton and the trail is around 10 minutes away.
Cross the Swale at the swing bridge ( and perhaps let your pooches have a dip when the river is low) to complete a circular that brings you down into the pretty village of Reeth where there are plenty of opportunity to enjoy food & drink at one of the pubs or cafes.
Bikes can be hired from the nearby Dales Bike Centre which also has a cafe serving all day breakfast, homemade soups, cakes, paninis and sandwhiches.

… Doggy friendly Little Nook is ready for our next guests this weekend and the weather is looking pretty good as well. Swaledale is a beautiful part of the world and it looks even more beautiful when the sun is shining.
