6-8pm All served as takeout but welcoming to sit it!!

It’s been a busy few weeks with all these bank holidays!!! As of Monday we are taking time off to get ready for summer 2023, but we will be available if you have questions or enquiries, but it might take a little longer to get back to you!!

We often forget with how busy our lives get, that we actually get to call this place our home, and this weekend has been so lush seeing so many people enjoying the village and the small businesses jam packed!!

I have this afternoon received the following update from Anglesey Council’s Highways Department regarding the proposed one way system in Rhosneigr:


“I refer to the consultation that was undertaken in respect of a permanent one-way system for Rhosneigr.

Following analysis of the responses received this is a summary of the result –

Number of responses received - 221

Number that were received late and duplicate responses – 11

Number of valid responses – 210

In favour of the one way system – 58 (27.6%)
Against the one way system – 147 (70%)

Not disclosed in favour or against – 5 (2.4%)

As seen from the results, the majority of the responses were against the proposal of a permanent one way. A small number only provided comments and did not disclose one way or the other. On this basis the recommendation of the Highway Authority would be not to proceed with the proposal and rather to look at alternative measures that could be introduced to reduce traffic issues in Rhosneigr especially during busy periods. A full report will be prepared with an opportunity for you as the Community Council and the Elected Members to formally respond either in agreement with the recommendation or to the contrary. In the meantime should you have any comments then I would be happy to receive these.”


I am sorry for the length of time it has taken to provide this update as I know the consultation ended a long time ago now.

It is important to note how hard Cllr Nev Evans and Llanfaelog Community Council fought for a consultation. Thank you to everyone who made sure the consultation went ahead and to everyone who made their views known.
