Dyserth WI

Dyserth WI is for women of all ages. We meet on the 2nd Friday of each month to gain knowledge, share skills, support each other and have FUN.

We're not just Jam and Jerusalem! We have both speakers and demonstrations. Meetings give us an opportunity to share views on topics of importance to women and families. In addition we have many trips and outings which you can save up for in our members savings club. The WI is a national organisation with a long and proud history - come along and be part of it. It isn't all Jam and Jerusalem.

As usual our party was a perfect start to the Xmas festivities. Wonderful company, great food and lots of laughter. Happy Xmas everyone. See you all in 2025.

Just a few requests about our Christmas party on Friday.
- Please would you bring a small plate of food and something to drink, both of which can be shared with others on your table.
- If possible would you also bring an empty toilet roll holder and a small gift to make a Christmas cracker - explanation to be given on Friday!
- Finally, we will be collecting donations of toiletries for the women's centre on Friday, if you are able to donate an item it would be appreciated.

This week's Wednesday walk is along the Dyserth walkway, meeting at Meliden golf club and returning there for refreshments. Next week (4th December) will be meeting at Tides and walking along the front and back for refreshments.

27th November, meet at Meliden golf club for a walk along the walkway' returning to the golf club for refreshments
4th December, meet at Tides cafe, Abergele for a walk along the seafront, refreshments at Tides.

Even annual meetings are fun at Dyserth WI. We had chips (yummy), a quiz and a risqué joke from Anne of course. Linda gave an overview of our outings, activities and trips and we all enjoyed a rousing rendition of both the Welsh National Anthem and Jerusalem. Next month is our Christmas party...fancy dress optional but strongly recommended!

HELP NEEDED PLEASE: I am organizing a Concert on 7th December to raise money for local charities. The main charity is the NSPCC and I know that several of your members help in the Dyserth Shop. I would be grateful for your support by joining the audience, especially if you enjoy singing carols and seasonal songs. I would also appreciate any other help you can provide putting up posters, advertising the event or helping with the actual concert itself - I still need people to take walk on parts or help with refreshments. I am a member of Llanasa W.I. but the concert is for Dyserth charities and I really would welcome your support. Thank you.Jennifer
