The Old Cobbler’s Shop is a cosy one bedroom cottage, in the lovely Swaledale village of Gunnerside. Week bookings are Friday to Friday.

Brooklands is a charming one bedroom cottage, newly refurbished and decorated to the highest standard, in the lovely Swaledale village of Gunnerside, where there are many walks direct from the door, including up Gunnerside Ghyll, past the lead mining ruins. With electric heating throughout, and a log burner in the living room, the cottage is warm and cosy, even in the depths of a Yorkshire winter.

The kitchen is very well-equipped, with washing machine, full size fridge and separate freezer, along with all the usual kitchenware. The double bedroom has amazing views towards the hills opposite and is flooded with light through the two big windows. The shower room is downstairs, with electric shower, WC and basin and there is a convenient boot store with heater tucked in between the kitchen and shower room. Outside is a little south-facing patio, with both a bench, and table and chairs, so guests can sit in the sun whatever time of day and admire hill scenery and the gorgeous view towards upper Swaledale. A car can be parked directly outside the cottage and one small dog is welcome (strictly not upstairs or on furniture, please). We don’t charge extra for your dog, but please mention when booking if you are bringing one. Secure storage for cycles included, and an electric vehicle charging point is negotiable with owners. Brooklands is a welcoming, attractive cottage, ideal for a walking/cycling holiday, or for just relaxing and exploring, with the King’s Head a stone’s throw away. We had an amazing afternoon yesterday - the weather was glorious and it was a huge success!! Thanks to all our wonderful helpers and to everyone who came to support our little church in Muker.

As always we are looking forward to seeing the wonderful Muker Band playing on Easter Sunday. 🎺

Fingers crossed for some nice weather so we can all enjoy the outdoor performance on the village green, but don't worry, they know not to rely on the great British weather so the village hall will also be on standby!

We hope to see some of you there showing your support for the band as well as the brilliant charities that they are raising money for.

Home to barely 300 people, the village has changed little in hundreds of years and has attractive slate-roofed cottages, dry stone wall. England's highest and world famous Tan Hill Inn is just a 20 min drive away🍻

There is so much to enjoy surrounding our wonderful cottages so make sure to take advantage of them while you visit!
