St Elmo was extensively renovated in 2007 to offer a large conservatory that opens onto a very pretty and well secluded garden. This enables residents to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere and solitude if required. We offer good facilities and an activities programme which is dovetailed to suit and meet the needs of residents living with dementia. These activities include paint therapy, garden a
ctivities, interact services, singing, caring canines and one-to-one sessions. Residents will be supported by friendly, experienced and professional staff who are highly trained in all aspects of care. We do as a home specialise in dementia care but are fully able and equipped to meet a multitude of care needs. Our recruitment process is rigorous and we are careful to ensure only the very best staff are selected
The manager is a well experienced RGN who is appropriately trained in all areas of care to ensure compliance for the home. The food menu is varied with locally sourced supplies, fresh fruit and vegetables. Home made cakes and biscuits are available daily and residents have a choice in all meals and snacks. Visiting and family contact is encouraged and there are no restrictions. New prospective clients are welcome to visit the home for a viewing. We have an excellent CQC report and working relationship with the regulatory bodies to ensure we are complaint in all areas of care. We welcome discussions, take complaints seriously and act promptly to any issues raised. This, with our open door policy, allows for transparency in the service we provide. Our residents hold a meeting every month where opinions are sought and decisions are made by those attending. Relatives meetings are held and we have regular social events to which relatives are invited and give us and residents a chance to meet and communicate in a social setting.
