As some of you may have noticed the name has changed on our social medias, we are now Poppinghole Farm cottages, this is the beginning of the new, our new path of self catering cottages, the official launch of the new us.

A journeys end!

The time has come for us to say good bye! We have closed the doors to our spa for the last time, a bitter sweet ending for such a beautiful place. The empty space resonates, of some where once so full. We have celebrated the closure with an evening of food, drinks, love and tears with the team.

Knowing how to write this last good bye is hard to know where to start, this has been a journey and one that has taught my self and others so much, we have watched our staff grow and blossom from young ladies to the women they are today. It has been a journey of development and successes, personally, for staff and for the business, creating us in to the people we are today.

I would like to thank each and every member of our team for their hard work, dedication and love, they took it right up to the very end. I will be forever greatful to you all, you helped us reach heights that I could never have imagined possible, I really do feel like we reached the stars, the awards we won weren’t just any awards they were some of the top awards you can win in the spa industry in the UK and for a little spa like us it was phenomenal, an achievement to be exceptionally proud of and a credit to our incredible team. We of course wish you all the very best with your futures and we will be watching fondly, to see where life takes you all next.

We must also thank all of our clients, we have been lucky enough to have the most incredible support from you all, the love and kindness you have given us has been beautiful, some of you have been joining us for so long that you have seen us develop into who we are today, so thank you for your ever lasting support.

The spa on a personal note has created the person I am today, it has been a journey of a lot of sweat and tears but most of all a journey of love and dedication, I wouldn’t change my time here for the world, it has taught me so much and enabled me to bloom in an ever changing fast paced industry, one that I very much hope to be able to carry on to be a part of for the future.

We also need to thank the owners here for letting us be apart of their home and create this incredible and unique spa here, they have always been here with us, if its cooking in the kitchen or working their way through the hugest back log of laundry, thank you for giving us the opportunity and we wish you the very best for the future.

And that ladies and gentleman is the Journeys end, we wish you all the very best.

How lovley this has popped up in our memories how is this a year ago today already!
We loved being apart of this and of corse being lucky enough to win the best day spa in Sussex.

It was also lovely to bump into the very talented Moon Dreamers Sleepovers who had also been lucky enough to have won the best children’s business with their beautiful sleep over sets up.

Have you had a spa break with us before? Did you know even with the spa closing you are still able to join us just in a differnt way.

Our cottages are staying as self catering cottages meaning you are able to hire them for 3 nights or 7 as self catering.
The pool area is open Monday - Saturday 10am - 5pm
For you to pop in and out as much as you like.

And now that Abbie and The Beehive retreat are going to be setting up here in our treatment room you are able to book in for individual treatments with her via the beehives website and booking pages.

We are launching very soon our brand new cottage website where you will be able to find full information on our self catering cottages.

The beehive retreat is also in the process of building a website and booking platform. They will be opening their doors on the 5th of August.

A few of you have been wondering what our lovely staff are going to be up to after the closure, a few of them are up to their own new ventures and we thought we would share this with you, some of us are still unsure of what direction we are going to take we have been waiting to get through the closer before we took a proper sit down to work it all out, but a few of us clever beans have been plotting away on their next move.

Georgina is currently rather cleverly studying Aesthetics and is going to embark on the world of aesthetics as a career development for her, taking her to new levels and a more specialist area of beauty.

The lovely Abigail who we love dearly is taking a break for the summer with her family while she decides where she would like to take her career next.

The rest of the team my self included are still unsure on our next steps I think the hopes would be to stay in the spa/beauty industry for a couple of us and continue with our much loved careers. We will be taking the time to assess this after the closure.

We wish everyone the up most luck with all of their endeavours and wish them the very best.

Our cottages here are still staying open with self catering cottages, we will be announcing this as soon as possible with a new website along with the information for you to be able to book in for treatments here with Abbie at The Beehive Retreat we look forward to being able to welcome you all still but in a slightly different manor.

What's your favourite memory here?

Going through all our 1000's of photos we have here and we came across Bridget! Does any one remember Bridget the chicken, she was great, she used come for daily visits on the courtyard to lay her eggs outside south barn and we had to get her out of many customers cars where she thought she might quite like and adventure, we once actually collected her from the end of the lane over a mile away where we think she took a ride in someones car and she must have jumped out. ❤ 🐔

We cant believe that in this time in 2 weeks we will be closing our beautiful little spa doors for the last time, where has the time gone, the impending dreaded July date is getting closer and closer. We have had a fantastic couple of months welcoming back all our regulars for one last visit, it has been lovely to see you all coming in, we have felt a huge abundance of love and support from you all.

We have been very quiet in here and are missing our usual social media interaction with you all!

I think perhaps since we don't have too much to chat about in our usual spa manner, I think we might share some of our favourite memories we have had over the past years of being here over the next couple of weeks, there has been a lot, from the cheeky animals popping in, the lovely staff we have had and even the extreme highs of winning some of the UKs top spa awards, we have certainly been lucky enough to have experienced some real highs here, and it has been our customers that has enabled us to carry out this journey.

We would love to see and hear your memories too, do you have any special memories of your time here with us? it would be so lovely to see and hear them all. Perhaps share below some of your favourite times with us, maybe even a photo or two.

We just wanted to pop on here to clear a little confusion up.

We are still very sadly closing Poppinghole farm spa down due to ill health and the need for retirement on the 14th of July.

After this date...

- Poppinghole Farm are continuing with the self catering cottages for hire of 3 nights or 7 nights as self catering with use of the pool area between 10am and 5 pm Monday - Saturday.

- Some of our lovely staff members are starting up on their own.

- Abbie our senior therapist is going to be running independently a one therapist business under her own name, she is doing this in one of our therapy rooms and nail room here at the farm, she will be running a full range of Germaine de Capuccini facials, body treatments, nails and waxing.

- Sophie our therapist will be running a mobile therapy business by her self visiting peoples homes as a home beauty therapist, this is independently and not run from our premises.

So after the 14th July Poppinghole Farm Spa will no longer be running.

Once Abbie and Sophie have set up their businesses we will of corse share with you their information for you to be able to book directly with them.

I hope this has helped with any confusion there may be as we have heard few different things.

We have just the Best News!!!

Abbie our senior therapist, is going to be staying here at the farm!

Abbie will be running independently by her self, her own beauty business in our therapy rooms, it is going to be solely Abbie and her incredible therapy skills, running a full menu of treatments, Facials and body treatments with Germaine de Capuccini, along with nails, waxing and much more.

We are currently crossing the dots and Ts we will announce as soon as possible her official opening date, which will be this summer.

We will send out links to all her media and booking systems the moment we have them up and running for her. If you wish to be contacted about Abbie and her new business please do email us on [email protected] and we can forward on to Abbie for her.

We just wanted to pop on here this morning to thank you all, we have been absolutely flooded with beautiful messages, emails and comments.
It has been incredibly emotional to read them all, the whole team here are so thankful for all of the support, love and also memories you have been sending us, it really is heart warming and a reminder to be proud.
