Pending approval from government agencies, Magic Kingdom park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will begin a phased reopening on July 11 with Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopening on July 15.

Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, experiences and other offerings may be modified and will be limited in capacity and subject to limited availability or closure, based on direction from health experts and government officials to promote physical distancing.

Plans are being put in place for a phased re-opening of Walt Disney World Florida subject to government approval.

The plan is to start with Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on 11 July, followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15.

Given the current climate, things will initially have to be done in a very different way from what we’ve known before to protect gusts and staff with limits on park occupancy and physical distancing.

Some events and attractions will not be available and “high-touch” experiences such as makeover opportunities, playgrounds and character meet and greets will remain temporarily unavailable, but characters will still be in the parks to entertain and delight.

Whilst the UK government still advises against all but essential travel, it's great to see that CityWalk at Universal Orlando is starting a limited operation.

Something for locals to celebrate...and a place to do it. (Responsibly.)

Whilst the parks remain close until at least 31st May, select CityWalk venues (including Jimmy Buffett's® Margaritaville®, Voodoo Doughnut and more) are now open from 4-10pm with limited menus.

The following safety measures are in place, but hopefully this may be the start of things slowing starting to open up again:

Another super busy day getting clients home and rearranging future travel in these unprecedented times!

At time like this it’s great to be able to speak with clients and give accurate and timely updates and peace of mind that their bookings are financially protected.

Again in awe of how my fellow Travel Counsellors and head office have rallied around each other and how suppliers are all doing their best to support us.

I am constantly receiving latest updates and advice from foreign office, airlines, cruise companies and more.

As you can imagine it’s a very busy time and not able to check Facebook much but if anyone has friends or family that need help or advice and I can help I will.
