Dark skys & sunshine for a stunning walk this lunchtime, from Bolt’s View to High Bishop Seat. It’s a absolute must if you’re staying over anytime. Takes about 90 minutes there & back but it’s always best to take a coffee, enjoy the views, and make it last a couple of hours… or more!

The Bolts View team have been hard at work putting the finishing touches in place for the season ahead. We now have some lovely outside seating for you to enjoy the warmer weather and those lovely sunsets, and the ensuite shower room has been converted to a full ensuite.  To all our guests: we look forward to welcoming you in the season ahead, & we hope you enjoy your stay. Rookhope in Weardale, the North Pennines, is a truly magical place. You’re going to love it!
