Day 4 - Pompeii
A 40 minute train ride costing just over 5 euros return, arriving at Pompeii entrance.
I was blown away and so glad that we paid for a tour guide to bring this unbelievable place to life.
Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79AD covering the town of Pompeii in ash and pumice.
Excavation started in 1748 and the discovery of this preserved town and its sites from houses, shops, the massive square, the bathhouses and much more.

The first video is my favourite of the day, as we came into dock in the picturesque little town of Positano, so dreamy. Itโs not a massive place but you can find something lovely to eat and drink. It has a beach bar and a stretch of beach if you wanted a chilled day in the sun.โ๏ธ๐
We actually visited the town of Amalfi first which was great and it had a bustling square with a good atmosphere where we had some breakfast and had a lovely conversation with some American tourists, I have been surprised how many Americans visit whilst here. The town has lots of little shops, but a little bit of traffic up and down and super close to you was an experience and for us Positano was our preference as more chilled.๐ฎ๐น๐

Happy Friday everyone, what a very wet and gray week it has been in The Rossendale Valley, certainly gets you dreaming of far flung and warmer places โ๏ธโ๏ธ
This week has been super popular for cruises, having had the experience myself on Tuis newest ship Marella Voyager has certainly been a fantastic tool for sharing my knowledge, especially as im getting a lot of first time cruisers, I can confidently provide all the little tips and hints needed to ensure they have the best experience. ๐ข
P&O has also been very popular and another great choice for first time cruisers, especially on the newer ships where they now do anytime dining which seems to be going down well. ๐ข
Bookings for short haul have been as popular as always, and this week it was great to book the beautiful island of Madeira for some new customers who had actually been recommended to me from some new friends that they had met on whilst on holiday last year and book with me and they live the opposite side of the country ๐๐ป small ๐ as they say!
I also had 2 customers who didnโt know each other that bumped into each other as boarding the same flight and realised they both booked through Galactic Travels ๐
Itโs been a full on busy week and Iโm now ready for a glass to celebrate my customerโs and a great and productive week! ๐ฅ
My assistant Rose has been off this week too to recharge, will be glad to get her back on board next week ๐๐ป
