Any comments on what you particularly enjoyed and how we could have improved the experience for you?:
Thanks so much, it was a stunning and very spacious getaway in a beautiful location. We loved that it overlooked Ettrick Bay with incredible views over to Goat fell and the peaks on Arran which was nice to see as we go to Arran every year and so it was nice to see them from a distance! The lovely garden was perfect for sitting out in with the table a bit of a sun trap. When the wind picked up every evening and it got a wee bit cold the Sitooterie more than came in handy and was very comfortable and relaxing. Really nice welcome gifts too which helped settle us in and was very generous.

It was by far the best self catering accommodation we've ever stayed in and we cannot wait to return! Just waiting for dates to be released on the website beyond September as we'll be back.

Never felt peace and tranquility like it for a long time ! Fabulous location and the Smiddy has been so lovingly and exquisitely renovated it was an absolute pleasure staying there . It has everything you needed and more . The welcome pack was such a lovely touch and very well received ! Loved the bathroom very unique indeed ! I would not hesitate to return !

We explored the island on foot more this time than last time which we thoroughly enjoyed. We did 2 parts of the West Island Way, which was 20km, but with amazing scenery and sights we wouldn't have otherwise seen. Mount Stuart is a great day out and the cafe provides a good choice. We also drove to Dunoon and had lunch there.

Any comments on what you particularly enjoyed and how we could have improved the experience for you?:

The house is beautiful. Last time we visited it was in October and the weather was much cooler, so this time we were able to use the sitooterie a lot more and open the glass doors, which was such a lovely treat.
The house is so well equipped which makes it so easy to cook in and prepare picnics, which we did a lot. The bathroom is the clincher. It's the best bathroom ever! We love staying in Etterick Smiddy and look forward to returning again.
