Have you ever considered a solo trip?

If being self-employed has taught me one thing, it's that not everyone can snap up flash deals on flights in the middle of the week, but that doesn't mean you can't embrace independence and embark on a solo adventure!

Easier said then done, I know!

But I am about to bite the bullet and book my first solo trip for 2025

As a confident traveller but an over thinker, I put together a list of things important to making the trip go as smoothly as possible

✔️ A country I have been to before so I have an idea of the area already
✔️ Hotel over Airbnb, better to be surrounded by people for safety/security reasons
✔️ Somewhere with plenty of exploring options to keep me busy!

I've compiled a list of destinations I think would be perfect as a solo female traveller heading on an adventure, whether it's to escape family life for a while, to try something new or simply because everybody else is busy! Let's embrace the scary!

🍝 ITALY ... On a whole Italy is a safe country to visit, with easy transport links to fill your adventure with multiple stops! You won't have time to notice you're on your own! The Dolomites is a favourite amongst solo travellers, but from experience, a weekend in Lake Como with a day trip to Milan, you can't go far wrong.

🌞 MALLORCA ... If you're in need of a few days lounging around a pool and sipping on colourful cocktails with tiny umbrellas, heading to Mallorca is the perfect option. Opting for half board in areas such as Cala D'or will provide you with the opportunity to unwind in comfort but still have access to local bars and restaurants to embrace a solo dinner date! (I actually met my first solo traveller friend at a Cheeki Tiki Bar in Cala D'or!)

I can not believe it's been a whole year since I graduated from Coventry University with an upper second-class in BA Journalism! The past 365 days have been nothing short of amazing so I wanted to reflect on some of my best post grad moments ...

🌞Of course it's only right to kick off the highlights with celebrating the fact we even made it to graduation after beginning our degree during COVID !
*Learning to use cameras, conduct interviews and record studio sessions was a whole new challenge at home than in the media building!*

☀️Launching my travel business back in November after winning an entrepreneurial graduate scheme, almost a year later and I've met some incredible people, explored some amazing destinations and had the realisation that being at the same events as celebrities is part of working in travel??!!

☀️Celebrating my twenty-second birthday in Montenegro with my fav person then coming home to a week in the Lakes with my family, doing my favourite thing (TRAVEL!) with my biggest supporters.

☀️Planning one of our biggest bucket list trips for next year ... something that's only possible due to the unmatched opportunities in the travel industry 🇯🇵

So much has changed since last June so I can't even begin to predict where I will be another year from now, but I look forward to seeing where I end up!🥂
