This year I've decided to take a deep dive into a new destination each month, starting with

A city with so much to offer, it's hard not to be the perfect city break for most travellers, but for a compact city, there is just so much to fit into a weekend escape! So, if it is on your Europe guide for the year, save this post!

Ø𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐫𝐨 is next on the list, a shoppers paradise and one of the only neighbourhoods in Copenhagen to boast a green oasis, perfect for spring time picnics or an autumnal stroll. This week I got chatting to a Portuguese gentleman who resides in England but always returns to Portugal yearly for their biggest event of the year, saint, São João Festival in Porto!

Celebrating their patron saint São João, Porto hosts one of Portugal's most spectacular events of the year in June, lighting up the sky with a spectacular fireworks display over the River Douro at midnight on the 23rd. Filled with fun for everyone, the festival sees plastic hammers lining the streets and over 200,000 people immersing in years old traditions.

Just a short train journey away from Lisbon, Porto offers the perfect blend of artistic culture and unscathed landscapes, making it the perfect city to bring this colourful festival to life.

& You can't beat travel tips than from locals so a few tips for your visit to Porto curtesy of my new found friend ...

🇵🇹 Dine small, whether it is a five star or a three star, Michelin or family run, the cuisine is delicious and very similar in all restaurants thanks to their locally sauced and hearty recipes! *Support locals and keeping it sustainable too!*

🇵🇹 Even though it is usually around 23 degrees, it gets super busy with proud locals and lots of tourists so make sure you take some water and even a mini fan

🇵🇹 The festival is a bank holiday in Portugal so prices can get very expensive if you book last minute, he has already secured his flight, so let's make sure we get you a seat too!

A few weeks back I got the train to London ... a return ticket direct from Rugby was £65... that's the same price as a return flights to Madrid

So this weekend were headed for a few nights in Spain's capital because well, why not when it's cheaper than a Saturday shopping in England?!

Known for its thriving culture, to die for cuisines and infamous art galleries, Madrid is a hub for creativity and innovation. But what's at the top of my partners to see list? Football Clubs of course.

48 hours may not seem like enough time to see everything, but it will certainly give us an incite into a new city and enable me to add even more value to personal recommendations for my fellow European city break lovers!

ℍ𝔸ℙℙ𝕐 ℕ𝔼𝕎 𝕐𝔼𝔸ℝ!

We're about to hit the busiest time of year in the travel industry, the best way to defeat January blues and certainly a great way to put your newly gifted outfits to good use, booking your next great adventure.
But as I dive head first into some amazing enquiries, I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on some of my holiday highlights from my first year as a TC!

🌍My most requested destinations?
It has to be Europe, as an avid city breaker myself, I love sharing 48 hour itineraries, last minute escapes under 2 hours away and all the best reasons to hop on a plane instead of a train. From France to Italy, there are endless city escapes to be had, I'd love to help you explore the wonders of Europe too!

🌸The itinerary I'm most envious of?
Japan has to take the cake! Back in November I booked a super exciting three week Itnerary around Japan with the help of our amazing supplier and DMC partners. A cultural adventure filled with bike tours, authentic dancing opportunities, cookery classes and a host of other one of a kind activities. Setting off in a few short weeks, stay tuned to see what I'm sure will be some surreal photographs...

⚓Something new?!
The opportunities in travel are incredible, from backpacking Asia to trekking off the beaten path in South America, but one particular style of travel I have loved booking over the past few months is river cruising! Starting out with a seven day cruise down the Danube, to most recently securing three cabins for a relaxing week down the River Rhine, the opportunities to discover multiple cities without loosing the slow paced, luxury feel is incredible, and certainly one for my bucket list.

Having visited Krakow a handful of times, sharing my experiences and recommending everything I've done each time, I think it's time I shouted about Wroclaw!

Experience all the perks of Poland but without the crowds, Wroclaw offers an authentic experience, the perfect opportunity to truly immerse in Poland's culture and heritage.

Situated on the Oder River in western Poland, Wroclaw is best known for it's characteristic market square, from colourful houses to it's timeless gothic style old town hall. But if you're lucky enough to visit through the winter months, its Christmas Market is the real star of the show.

Street after street lined with treats, the smell of freshly baked gingerbread as you stare down an endless row of twinkling wooden huts, this market captures the magic of Christmas with so much ease words can't do it justice. We spent a long weekend in Wroclaw two years ago and it will always remain one of my most timeless memories!

I have a very festive week ahead of me, kicking off with a long weekend in Berlin, indulging in food, drink, history & culture and of course, the markets!

Landing back in the UK on Tuesday, it's straight home to repack for a night away in London to watch Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, and it would be a waste not to squeeze in some last minute Christmas shopping,...

To end the week in the most festive way possible, we're heading for a Christmas themed bottomless brunch in Birmingham next weekend!

While life takes over this week my out of office will be on, but as always I will have my laptop with me for any emergencies 📲

Nestled between Canterbury and the quaint village of Wingham, The Carpenters farm is home away from home, with ducks for neighbor’s and nature for company. Residing on a pond, we woke each morning to a crisp blue sky and spent our evenings under fairy lights watching the moon. Designed with its guests in mind, we were offered a double shower and one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept on, an outdoor living area and private garden big enough for the whole family. Welcomed with fresh home-made bread and a cheeky bottle of wine our stay was of to a win from the get go, but the small details that came with our hut truly pushed it over the line. Egg cups filled and mini jars of jam and marmalade cooling, it was truly the perfect retreat🤍✨
