Fully electric, insulated and useable all year round, our shepherd's hut for two is cosy, stylish and is the perfect romantic rural escape Comprising of:

Kitchenette with fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster and all crockery etc
Comfortable double bed with bedding provided
Electric fire to keep you warm and cosy
Outside seating and dining
Firepit/bbq

Luxury bathroom in the Amenity Hut with flushing toilet, basin and walk in shower
Welcome Pack including walks from your doorstep and road trip ideas
Little extras available to order in advance:
Breakfast Baskets, Afternoon Tea, Welsh Platter, Birthday cake. In our Amenity Hut, glampers will find their own little shed to securely store bikes, hang any wet gear and store any muddy boots. Also here there is a sheltered seating area where you can still enjoy the spectacular mountain views of the Clwydian Range AONB even if the weather isn't that great. Your private bathroom is also located in the Amenity Hut which has a flushing toilet, basin and a hot shower! Only 20m from your shepherds hut via a gravel footpath. Admire the beautiful surrounding countryside with your morning ‘paned’ (cuppa) and chill out at night by the campfire taking in the sunset and black starry night sky. With excellent walking, mountain biking and sightseeing on your doorstep, we are just the tonic for those seeking relaxation or an action packed countryside getaway. We are in a central position for exploring The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB. Picturesque Ruthin is our local market town and the pretty resort of Llangollen is only 12 miles away . The Roman city of Chester, popular seaside town Llandudno and both Bala and Betws Y Coed, well known as gateways to Snowdonia National Park are less than an hour’s drive away. Bringing a bike or planning to rent a top of the range model? We are only ten minutes from One Planet Adventure, one of Wales’ most popular mountain biking destinations with over 40km of biking trails and various walking trails set within the 650 acre Coed Llandegla Forest. We are a Welsh speaking family running a traditional beef and sheep hill farm. Embrace the opportunity to ‘siarad Cymraeg’ if you’re learning Welsh! Our Shepherds Hut 'Llygad y Dydd', is set in its own paddock on the upper side of ‘Cae Main’ meadow (pronounced 'Kai Mine'), where you can see sheep and lambs graze most of the year, and where we let the grass grow to make hay and silage in the summer. ‘Cae’ is field in Welsh, ‘Main’ is long, so our name simply translates into Long Field Shepherds Huts. It's been glorious walking weather this week ☀️

I took these photos on a beautiful circular walk starting from Cae Main Shepherds Hut. Time wise the lenghth was around 1 1/2 - 2 hours, so just perfect for me!

There are lots of lovely walks to be discovered from the hut ..... or bring your bike! Secure bike storage is available. You'll even have your own little shed to hang any jackets and store muddy boots!

Caer Drewyn is one of the best preserved Iron age hillforts in Wales.

Dark clouds and rays of warm sunshine competing against each other. Really enjoyed the glorious views on my short hike up ...only 20 minutes via the steeper route but there is an option for a more comfortable stroll.

Our cosy hut is situated in beautiful Denbighshire in North Wales (LL15 2LF), near Ruthin, Llangollen and Bala.

Cae Main Shepherds Hut sleeps two and is petfect for romantic couples and solo travellers 🥰.

You could however bring a tent or more to accommodate friends or family. There is plenty of space and facilities here on site to welcome families and small groups!

We offer one night stays all year and do gift vouchers so you could treat someone to a lovely peaceful and relaxing break in the countryside.

This is a pet free accommodation set on our family farm.
