Wales is the land of landscapes, language a heritage. Our corner of Wales is no different, with stunning castles, magical forests and epic landscapes you can be sure to find your inner peace whilst discovering our quaint towns.
With an unique 11 mile World Heritage Site, complete with our ‘Stream in the Sky’ Aqueduct at Pontcysyllte. Learn about the history of Thomas Telford and the building of the UK’s tallest aqueduct that connects two sides of the Dee Valley near the town of Llangollen. And with romantic places to stay in the local area you can getaway from all your stresses and find a new happy place to take with you.
Not forgetting our rich heritage. Our corner of North Wales is blessed with some stunning castle ranging from fully refurbished hotels into the original ruins that the castles were left in following their sieges. Highlights include the Ruthin Castle Hotel and Spa, Rhuddlan Castle (which sits on the River Clwyd) and Flint Castle which stands guard on the coast off the town of Flint.
Delving deeper into our heritage you can get more of a sense of the stunning places that used to be so important to the people of North East Wales. With Nantclwyd y Dre house in Ruthin you can travel through 7 ages of time and relax in the Lord’s Garden following it’s full refurbishment in 2016. Or you can experience a Pentonville Prison of Ruthin Gaol and see how horrible it was to be a prisoner in the Victorian Times.
