Fun things to do on your holiday...

We have a secret "hidden cutlery drawer. It seemed like a good idea when the kitchen people suggested it but the reality is that no-one can find it! It's in a cupboard, inside a big pan drawer. Not
telling the others you came with and offering a prize to the first person who finds it and plastic cutlery to the people who can't is often a fun game to play on your holiday.

Two years ago we were in mid-rennovation then just as we finished COvid struck. It's been a rollercoaster two years and we're so happy to be welcoming people consistently at last.

The gardener came yesterday and now our terrace is w**d free and looking lovely to welcome our next guests. We're working on becoming not just pet-friendly but a bike friendly holiday place. Large hallway for securely storing bikes, airing rack for clothes and shoes to dry indoors (though it rarely rains in the Isle of Wight of course), we're investing in a Mud Daddy which will gently wash both bikes and dogs in the garden and direct side access to the garden for muddy bikes.

Sleeps 7 in four bedrooms with two reception rooms and 2.5 bathrooms - ideal for sharing (after 17th May) as there is so much space. A few minutes from beach and pubs.

Lovely review for last weeks stay on Airbnb.

"Absolutely wonderful place! It was far bigger than we expected which was a lovely surprise. Great location and walking distance to the centre of Ryde and the beachfront. We also found the location a perfect launch pad to explore all around the island. We had a perfect holiday and have slept incredibly well as the bed were so comfy (and the towels really fluffy!). Sue is a wonderful host and was so helpful with tips for best fish & chips, help with ferry discounts and amazing overall communication. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and recommend to friends!"

Yum! Love hungry Bear burgers.
