New and Improved for Winter 2024/25!! We have been busy over the summer months with a list of things to enhance our clients ski holidays:
- NEW – drinks available all day, every day, with a choice of tea, coffee and herbal teas using our new instant hot water boiler; plus squash and water.
- NEW log burner in the fireplace for better heating and less smoke.
- NEW sofas in the lounge and reception area.
Improved acoustics in the dining room with NEW acoustic wall panels.
- NEW look office and reception area, with new modern lighting.
The lounge and bar area now has fresh and modern new carpeting.
- The tiling and decoration to the remaining bathrooms is scheduled to be completed in the next couple of months. Also, a wall mounted, bodywash/soap dispenser will be fitted.

Additional Improvements:
- TV in dining room, just for major sports events on departure days.
- Bedroom changes including heating improvements to “end rooms”, carpets replaced where needed and valances and wrap arounds to all bed bases.
- Night sky and stars – The new and improved LED street lighting outside the hotel will be turned down at night which will make a huge improvement on the night sky and distant scenery.
- Ski Hire – having pre-booked your skis, enter your details on the new online form to save time at the hotel.
- More NEW skis are available in the increasingly popular shorter sizes.
- Non skiers – snowshoes and hiking. An alternative to skiing with guides situated next to the hotel.
Coach travel improvements:
- The coach journey policy of P&O outbound and DFDS inbound is booked again for this winter season. Arrive in time to ski and on the return journey arrive back promptly on Sunday mornings scheduled for 08.30 at Dover and 10.30 for South Mimms.
- Reliable resort departures – a relief coach driver will be based at the hotel to step in if needed to ensure we leave the hotel around 18.30 and get back to the UK as planned.
- Hot buffet breakfast will now be available for all coach arrivals.
