In case you ever wondered, this is where the material from your brown bin ends up (if you live in mid-Cornwall). It’s a very impressive site, to say the least. The Green Waste Company, based at Victoria, Roche. This is also where all of the material I take away, goes. Including, old wooden fences. All the green waste is mulched down to a good quality compost and wood, chipped and repurposed. It’s a super, sustainable, family run facility. However, you do need a waste carriers license and account to access direct. 😊

Soft landscaping in Carlyon Bay for a regular customer of ours. We usually tend to the grass at this property with a monthly visit and carry out annual hedge cutting. This season, our customer has decided to take a run of mixed hedging out at the back of the property to air the fence in behind. Choice planting might be put back in but for now, we have stump ground, screeded and sown some grass seed to freshen the area up. Further considerations are being made for the left side.

Lawn area;
Dug off sod and loaded this into a hired skip. Supplied and laid membrane and 20mm Golden Flint. Lay slabs in an arc formation to meet back gate. Sourced and supplied x2 wooden planters from Duchy Timber. Each at 1.2m in length.

Shed work;
Supplied and fitted guttering and down pipe to allow rain water to flow away from otherwise, running down the face of the shed.

Fencing and gate work;
Supplied and installed new paneling and gravel boards where necessary, throughout. Corrected one post from being hugely off plumb due to being dug in too shallow and becoming unstable. Supplied and fitted a new handmade back gate and included a latch.

Left site clean and tidy. 🤗

After… Turf dug off, chamfered, cement edging to base of stone wall. Concrete pad to top gate area, stepped fencing to complement wall. New, repositioned bottom gate. Membrane, granite chip and large granite stones to finish.
