I remember my first visit to St Ives from London in 1981.This Gas Store was overlooking Porthmeor beach and a complete contrast to the stunning shoreline. The shape is echoed in the Tate building and in some ways I miss some of the character that has been stripped over time by renovations and mostly large scale alterations. The beach is still breathtaking !
