BEACH HAUS x ANTONIUS VALENTINO 🎨

Art work is exclusively chosen by Beach Haus with careful consideration.

Design work is developed by Beach with fastidious research and dedication to the craft.

On that notion delighted to source two works by Antoninus Valentino installed at The Lodge.

Antonios approach to the craft is artisanal and in alignment with his utter disdain of experts discussing art.

We experienced the same, those claiming to be involved who are not…taking credit for nothing.

We continue to embody a festive spirit at Beach Haus with gratitude…!

BIO
Antoninus Valentino is one of the worlds most successful living artists. Born in London, England, his studios are currently based in France. His works are in several countries and he has held a number of private exhibitions.

Born in London in 1957 from Russian ancestry 🇷🇺. Modernist themed abstract painted in powerful colours. Several private exhibitions. Work sold all in private collections in several countries

ARTIST STATEMENT
I paint in oils on canvas and on occasion with mixed media but have a preference for oils as they produce effects that cannot be created with any other medium.
My pet hates are so named experts and discussing art. That said one does have to eat. My view has always been and remains that if you like it and enjoy it then do so because all art is personal.

If you do not like it then move on without comment until you discover something that you do like.

With the fields clear after the Harvest Moon, animals were revealed to hunters, giving rise to the name the Hunter’s Moon. According to NASA, alternative names, attributed to the Algonquin peoples of the northeastern United States and Eastern Canada, include Dying Grass Moon, the Travel Moon and the Sanguine or Blood Moon.

TESCO ICONS IS KEITH WALLER

Beach likes a Billboard…worked on a few 🖼️

Lot of chat about this Tesco billboard ad from the advertising world.

Beach opinion is that it’s a timeless code and wicked ex*****on. So much latent equity in those Blue Chevrons. End of.

Hats off to BBH a top British ad agency 🎩🇬🇧

Created moons ago by artist Keith Waller, a Beach Haus collective artist and pal.

A wonderfully talented gentleman.

Beach applied the same craft to The Haus icons 🥇

BIO
Keith career has been extraordinarily varied and anybody would be hard-pressed not to call him eclectic.

He is probably best known for his creation of the iconic Tesco logo and for his illustrations and abstract art.

He has been a contributor to The Tate Modern and Kunsthalle, Berlin galleries, Consumer Culture exhibition with Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg.

He became well known for his creation of short catchphrases for advertising such as “I never go anywhere without one” for Barclaycard.

Tagged as one of the greatest post-modernist painters his work exists in a post-apocalyptic world where only dreams and ghosts can survive.

We are delighted to have Tree Nation as a Beach Haus charity…!

Lauren Sebastian planted a tree via Tree Nation following our collab.

We Love this! 💜
& compelled to do so.

So as of today… Beach Haus has pledged to plant 20 trees a month, of 40 different varieties, in the following regions: Africa, Asia and North America.

Tree Nation
Our mission is to reforest the world. Planting trees has been proven to be one of the most efficient solutions to fight Climate Change.

Thanks to our reforestation and conservation projects we help to restore forests, create jobs, support local communities and protect biodiversity.

Through the Tree-Nation platform we aim to bring a technological solution to the problem of deforestation, responsible for about 17% of all climate change emissions.

We want to use technology to make tree planting easy and provide support, advice and solutions to citizens and companies to help them transition towards a sustainable future.

With 85% of all terrestrial species living in tropical forests, whose existences are intrinsically bound to the forests, their habitat, we care to restore and preserve the biodiversity to help avoid a mass extinction.
