Thank you once again for the amazing response to this trip. We have taken bookings from every corner of our region, people who have grown up watching the potash trains thunder through their neighbourhoods.
There are people coming from the four corners of the country - who either have ties to the potash through family or who are just rail enthusiasts.
Unbelievably , we have sold tickets as far away as Monte Carlo, America and Australia!
So, we are down to our last 20 tickets for the First Class Champagne sunset trip, and we have
50 Standard morning g tickets remaining; once they are gone, that’s it, and it will probably be some years until a passenger train goes this way again!

Due to the huge demand for our Boulby day trip, we have added an extra journey.
Departing Saltburn (not available from Middlesbrough) at approximately 4:30, The Champagne Sunset trip will be First Class only, adults only and will include a glass of champagne as we watch the sunsetting as the train wends its way to and from Boulby !

2025 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the modern railways in the UK, and to celebrate, with the kind permission of ICL, we are offering the rare opportunity to travel along this scenic, freight only line, passing over Skelton viaduct and around Huntcliff and Warsett Hill.
On Sunday 28th September, we will undertake two journeys along the line, you can choose morning or afternoon. Starting at Middlesbrough, picking up at Saltburn and return.

We expect the journey to be between 3 and 4 hours, there is Standard class accommodation and First Class. Standard is £48pp. First Class is £78pp and includes a breakfast roll with tea/coffee and Buck’s Fizz on the morning trip and Cream tea with Prosecco and tea/coffee on the afternoon trip.

Saturday evening we had a little SRT team meeting, to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for their hard work on the December trip to Edinburgh. We also wished the baby of our team, Sam, a very Happy 30th Birthday 🎂 🍻🎁🎈🎉
