Summerson Meadow Farmhouse
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live on a farm? If so then come and be greeted with some home baking and stay in a delightful four bedroom farmhouse with panoramic views over the coast and the North Yorkshire Moors found here on the outskirts of a small farming community village called Moorsholm, which translates to home on the moors and is mentioned in t
he Doomsday Book of 1066. The farmhouse was built in 1896 and has been owned by the Boyes family for three generations. The property is ideally suited for families and mature people. It is in a prime position to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, taking time out for days on the beach, stream train journeys into Heartbeat country, watching the local wildlife and gentle rambles on the bridleways next to the farm and the nearby North Yorkshire Moors. If you are a keen photographer the area has every genre you could wish for. There are forty acres of farmland including three acres of woodland. There will be certain areas which are restricted due to farming activities but the animals can be viewed from the windows of the farmhouse and fields whilst adhering to the countryside code. Choose between sitting and relaxing in the enclosed garden or in the moderately sized walled courtyard. If you are looking for a more active holiday then there is a lot to choose from. There are three local golf courses, two local fisheries within five miles for fly or bait fishing and a freezer back at the farm for those big catches, some of the best beaches North Yorkshire has to offer, the Cleveland Way and Roseberry Topping to climb with a spectacular view when you reach the summit and local riding stables too. Plus for the hikers there is the absolute haven North Yorkshire Moors National Park to visit with lots of public footpaths and for the bikers there is Dalby Forest with all that it has to offer. The vintage 19th century farmhouse has been fully renovated and features both modern and typical English countryside furniture and compromises of one double ensuite room, two twin bedrooms and a further double room, sleeping up to eight people comfortably. There is a large main bathroom with overhead shower and bath. On the ground floor there is a fitted kitchen, large dining room, sitting room and a vintage style room known as the dairy which can be utilised as a games room, play room for the children or a storage room for those hiker boots.
