Fell Foot garden looks a bit different after Storm Arwen (and then our brilliant gardener Piotr) saw off the big fir tree by the driveway. Also taken out a couple more small ones to improve the view of the fells and top up the woodpile. 🏔🪵

Happy New Year from Fell Foot!

Unfortunately, with Cumbria having moved into Tier 4, we will be closed for the time being. Hopefully case numbers will fall sufficiently to return to Tier 2 soon. In the meantime, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you later in 2021.

No-one knew how long it had been since the piano at Fell Foot (once of the White Mare in Beckermet) had been tuned. But it was long past honky-tonk and pretty unlistenable... until now!

Like golf? Or know someone else who does? Fell Foot is 15 mins’ drive from one of the best seaside links courses in the North-west - Seascale. Great views and a great test of your game. 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

We don’t really know why there’s an old roller stuck in the lawn at Fell Foot but we’re fond of it, so it’s staying.

We like to think it had a go at flattening the garden, quickly gave up and then had a nice rest for 35 years. Very wise. 🙂

Thanks to everyone who's enquired about bookings since we put this page up. FYI, we still have availability for October half-term week, ie. from Sat 24 October, so please drop us a line if you fancy a stay in the peaceful Western Lakes (but with plenty to see and do!).
