Hundreds of Guillemots gathered today, restless and full of energy! They’re not ready to settle just yet—just checking out their nesting spots and reuniting with their partners after a long winter apart. The perfect relationship, really—months of freedom, then a joyous reunion! Ha! Come and witness this breathtaking spectacle for yourself. Nature at its finest!

Beautiful weather today with only a handful of people wanting a trip out, but they were in for a surprise when about 50 Bottlenose Dolphins appeared in Staple Sound. What a treat on a beautiful, calm day. Thank you to Reece for the footage.
View from our office window. Some spectacular waves crashing up at the Inner Farne. This area is called the churn and is really cool watching the northerly swell go up the gap, then up into the sky.
I say this every year, but this truly was the best fireworks display I’ve ever seen. While other events were canceled due to the weather, we stepped up and delivered a spectacular show that set the standard for how it’s done. A huge thank you to everyone who helped raise the funds to make this magical moment possible. I hope the hundreds of people who came to watch enjoyed it as much as I did!
Happy New Year
What an unforgettable Boxing Day adventure for all of our guests! As we set off from the harbour, we were greeted by a pod of playful dolphins, their energy and curiosity setting the tone for the day. They danced alongside us, leaping through the waves as if inviting us to join in their joy. When they’d had their fill of fun, they gracefully slowed, escorting us further on our journey.
Later, as we made our way around the Farnes, to our amazement, we found them once again—they hadn’t gone far at all! It felt as though they were keeping us company, adding a magical touch to an already incredible day. It was the perfect way to round off an extraordinary Boxing Day.
Early Christmas treat for our guests today. A pod of 20 bottlenose dolphins going north about 2pm. Merry Christmas, everyone.
We have a wee bit of wind here today. Ha Ha. On a serious note please stay safe. This wind has picked up loads in the last 15 minutes since I've been down the harbour. Thankfully all the boats are ok and there does not seem to be much damage in the village. Stay safe everyone.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
About 15 Dolphins going north on our last trip yesterday. Jimmy and Reece were just about to go into the harbour when they spotted them. It would have been rude not to turn around and see them. So they did. Good lads. Just to let you all know, we are still sailing, so if you fancy seeing al the seals, pups, and of course, you might get a chance to see the dolphins, why not join us.

Jimmy and Arron were out on the water yesterday enjoying the calm seas and the weather. We are trying to grab every opportunity to get out and see the wildlife around the Farnes while the weather is good and we have enough people to join us. Wrap up warm and join us for a tour around the Farnes and see all the wildlife and, of course, the newborn seal pups.

I can hardly believe this weather! Typically, during the kids' holiday week, we’re lucky to get just one nice day, but so far, it’s been fantastic. Yesterday was no exception, with glorious sunshine and calm seas. Holy Island was buzzing, and it was delightful to stroll around. Here’s hoping it stays like this for a while! After exploring, we headed home, and once again, we were treated to a sighting of dolphins.
Today, we were treated to a spectacular encounter with Bottlenose dolphins on our journey to Holy Island. Our guests had a fantastic time, but the dolphins truly made the trip unforgettable. After a quick call to our fellow skippers, Chris and Jimmy, they were able to catch up with the playful pod as well. A special thanks to Reece for sharing the second video—I've combined both clips for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
