It has a lively harbour which acts as the gateway to the Farne Islands, with regular boat trips taking bird watchers and nature lovers to this haven for puffins, seals and other wildlife. Beach walks abound in the Seahouses area, with golden sands stretching north to Bamburgh and south to Beadnell and beyond. Seahouses has excellent facilities, with a selection of restaurants and traditional pubs to keep you fed and watered, and shops where you can buy whatever you need – whether it's a kite and a picnic for the beach, gifts and sweets to take home, or fire logs and wine for a cosy evening in the cottage.
