Haslemere is set in the heart of the picturesque Devon fishing village of Beer, just 150 yards from the beach and even closer to the village pubs, tea rooms and shops. Beer is a beautiful, unspoilt holiday destination located on the Jurassic Coast, which is a World Heritage Site, and is part of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As you enter the cottage, you instantly feel at home with quaint features blended with modern furnishings to ensure comfort during your stay. The living room is furnished with a Smart TV with Freeview and comfortable seating, perfect for winding down and watching a film here after a busy day exploring the coastline. The kitchen/dining room is spacious and well-equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine and there is also an island with two stools. The dining table is a great spot for enjoying a home cooked meal with your family and friends. Open the patio doors from the kitchen/dining room and head into the private courtyard area which is a real suntrap and has a rattan corner suite with a table; a great spot for enjoying your morning coffee. Head upstairs where you will discover three beautiful bedrooms; the first with a two sip and link singles which can be made into a double on request, and the other two each have a kingsize bed. The family shower room is fitted with a large walk-in shower, heated towel rail, toilet and sink, and there is also an additional toilet halfway up the stairs.
When you can pull yourself away from the cottage, the beautiful, unspoilt village of Beer awaits you. Head down to the famous Horseshoe beach, a real sun trap with clean waters, rock pools at low tide and beach cafés serving great breakfasts and home-made treats. See the local fishermen bring in their catch, hire a boat, watch some sailing and then curl up for the evening at your holiday cottage. Just 100 yards from the natural suntrap of Beer’s pebbly beach, beautiful walks on the coastal path to Branscombe and Sidmouth in one direction and Lyme Regis and Seaton in the other. Enjoy fishing and searching for fossils along the Jurassic Coast. Local attractions include Beer Quarry Caves, Pecorama, Seaton Tramway, Crealy, Bicton Gardens and the Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth. You’ll struggle to fit everything into one visit to Haselmere and you will certainly want to stay time and time again. Beach 100 yards.
