Just to let people out there know, as I've heard rumours that some taxi driver's are trying to charge double on bank holidays, this is not the case, the only time double tariff is applicable is Xmas and New year time, so if they do try and charge you more, take a picture of the taxi plate which is on every side of the vehicle, and report it to the council.

This is a public service announcement.

Just to make the general public aware, Selby District Council have changed our taxi tariffs, this is being applied as of this Friday, 18th November, the first pay increase since April 2018.

The phone ring's, can you do 4 of us a taxi to York race's tomorrow at 12:00 please, if so, how much?
I'd estimate the cost to be around £45/50 area depending on the traffic......

Really, we've been quoted £23?

Why are you ringing round, just book that, you won't get any better than that price.
