Two great platforms to Overland travel with, the HiLux has been enhanced this week with the addition of the RSI canopy, table and kitchen.
So why take the Grenadier to Tunisia instead of the HiLux.
The Grenadier is just so much easier to drive and so much more comfortable.
Those things when you are leading a group are so important, as it allows me to concentrate on the route and the stragglers behind me 😂
Plus driver fatigue reduced massively with the Recaro seats in the Grenadier.
Permanent 4wd is also very important, as I can be caught unawares sometimes with the terrain and I don’t have to think about engaging 4wd as you do with the HilLux .

To be fair I got stuck for about an hour first , sand mats are much more fun in sand! I got stuck a loose nut behind the steering wheel moment. Some young lads in a really nice 90 give me a pull with lots of shovelling and sand mats.
