Sunday saw our competition winner plus some of his pals join 2 brothers and Rocket Ralph for some Peak fun.
Unfortunately Rocket Ralph left us early with a fractured sternum, chest protector next time matey get well soon.
We can't highlight enough good body armour, the Peaks are mostly rocks of every size so not very forgiving but we think it was his own fist hitting himself on this occasion.
Plenty of lanes ridden, we saw a Trial event on from Hawks Nest and many trials bikes heading over the Three Shires, upon speaking to a woman whilst leading I stopped for her and said "a few bikes about", she replied ' it's kind of ruining our day'! WOW, if you can't share don't go where we are allowed or when a Trial is on 🤣
We were met with mostly happy faces including the public in the background giving the lads a cheer.
Use them or lose them and we will continue to use them and say 'Hello' to all we come across .
We thought we'd got back without anymore incidents then on the last lane Billy took a tumble, bent sprocket and damaged split link, we repaired and got him back but he'd hurt his back a bit so another get well soon matey.

Sunday saw some South Yorkshire locals and a Rugby based Irish man tackle the Peaks.
A steady ride starting at 8.30 and returning at 5.30 a good 9 hours out the lads did all the best lanes with 100 miles covered and slept well that night 😁

Saturday saw a mixed group from Rotherham, the Midlands and as far as Brighton!
A frosty start with low lying fog meant 1 rider stayed in his warm bed instead.
An early spill meant 1 rider back to the van then his pal had to get back for him, a hospital visit followed.
Get well soon matey.
Plenty of lanes with the water crossings settled down so all passable.
A good bunch good laughs and great scenery, back around 5 after the obligatory refreshments stop.

A reminder of our
F.A.Q's.
Please read
Q. Where do you go.
A. The Peak District. (see cover pic)
Q. What's the meeting point postcode.
A. This will be sent a minimum of 6 days before we meet but near Hillsborough Sheffield, after this all bookings are final.
Q. Will the vans/trailers be safe at the meeting point.
A. Yes it's quite a well used area we've had no issues, if you bring a trailer obviously bring a big lock.
You can also camp there in a van or close by its very quiet.
Q. What time do we meet/leave.
A. 8am leave 8.30am or 8. 30 leave 9am GMT (Summer) or 7.30 leave 8am GMT-1 (Winter)
Q. What time do we return
A. Anything from 4.30pm to 6.30pm (8 to 10 hours) depending on season and stoppages. .
Q. What days are you out.
A. Generally we run SUNDAYS with some SATURDAYS and we can also do FRIDAYS .
Q. How far do you travel.
A. From 100-130 miles depending on group and time of year.
Q. How spaced are the fuel stops.
A. We stop whilst out so don't worry enduro tanks usually make it and every other bike has fuel in it to borrow. MX tanks may run out so some bring a 1L fuel container.
Q. Are there food/pub stops.
A. Yes, plenty of opportunities to eat and drink a cheeky pint when suits.
Q. Is there much road work I hear loads of lanes closed.
A. Its basically a road between each lane, the longest road section is 7 minutes there's plenty of lanes left you will not be disappointed.
Q. Do I have to be road legal
A. Yes, insurance tax and MOT with number plate (size is your choice but we advise its on 2 lines not 3)
Q. Can a Novice come
A. YES but ideally you need a bit of experience on an enduro motorcycle and a half decent level of fitness.
Q. Do you hire bikes.
A. Not at this time sorry.
Q. Are quads allowed.
A. No, 2 wheels only sorry.
Q. What Hotels do you recommend.
A. We will advise to the group leader after booking due to security but we ask you book with optional free cancellation in winter due to possible adverse extreme weather and also in the summer as injuries can occur which prevent us from running.
Q. How much is it.
A. £40pp
Q. Can I get a discount
A. Yes, all EDGE OFFROAD MEMBERS get 25% OFF
Q. Can I save spaces without payment.
A.Yes but only for 2 Hours.

SECURITY ADVICE..
If leaving your bikes in vans over night please ask advice on best Hotels etc, big locks, alarmed disc locks and extra van alarms are advised.

ADVICE ....
Wear body armour and knee guards, the terrain is rocky and crashes sometimes end in injury.
You need HD Tubes or UHD running a minimum of 20psi
Mousses work well (no punctures 😁) but used at your own risk.
Bring waterproofs, a few spare (winter) gloves, spare tubes, tyre levers, pump, tool bag, spark plug, hydro backpack.
Lights.... you need WORKING LIGHTS, mid winter days are short and any delays means we return in the dark.
TOP TIP.
Try to hydrate for 3 days leading to the Tour with Cordial and a pinch of pink sea salt/celtic salt, around 4 pints a day.
Just water isn't good enough, this avoids cramps and armpump.
Use the same in your backpack with a couple tablespoons of sugar or buy an Electrolyte power such as SIS.
Eat carbs 2 days leading to Tour, "Carb load" this will help with fatigue.

Terms and Conditions.
Until payment is received for your chosen date you are not booked and all payments are final.
Should injury or extreme weather postpone your date we will transfer you/your group to an agreed date within 6 months.
Should you need to postpone your booked date it's 100% transferable if over 7 days from departure, any date within 6 months can be chosen.
Any postponements within 7 days are subject to filling your place/s, then we can rebook you again within 6 months.

A great day was had on Saturday the weather was warm and the views were great.
4 lads travelled north and 1 south to enjoy the Peaks.
8am start after loaning a temp sensor to get 1 bike going meant he got to enjoy his day with mates.
Plenty of lanes plenty of pictures and videos and an awesome red sky later on to see us back.
5pm return our headlights working well and around 105 miles ridden with no crashes.

A frosty start yesterday which only got colder the further we went into the Peaks, thank f**k I had my layers and hand muffs although was still cold ❄️
The riding warmed us up for a few hours and once we made the pub it was now getting dark and the cold was back, a cheeky mineral water and we set off back to test out our after market lights.
My AliExpress £27er did the job, the Acerbis was good too but £90, another had a light bar, either way you need good lighting to ride at night.
Back a little later 6pm as a steady group and got stuck in the warm pub chatting 😁
Thanks lads was a good laugh despite the cold, great to meet you all and thanks to Dimitri our sweeper for a great job.

Our last Tours saw a group that had 1 member follow the wrong van so ended up north of Leeds and although we'd waited 30 mins to find out this he didn't have a clue how to get to us and had no sat nav or smart phone, unfortunately he had to drive home.. Oh dear..
The rest of the lads got their day out and will return with their pal next year so he can finally get his Peaks Tour 😁
Our next group saw some 'Westside' returnees looking to see less snow and ice than last year but got rain instead, for 7 hours...
Moist, very moist but my bar muffs at £7 were worth every penny and then some and kept the cold out, some waterproofs failed including mine and 1 lad decided not to put his on all day the crackpot. 😂
1 lap took a dip near the end but couldn't really get any wetter, back just before 5 with various LED headlights to compare my AliExpress £27 one worked great we suggest buy yourself one 👌

We also now help arrange your Bulgarian Enduro adventure Tour.
We've sent 1 group who are booking their return already and now have a 2nd group booked with a 3rd sorting dates.
Ourselves are back out there in March and Ibrahim has invested in more bikes so there will be 10 available next year.
To get the 2023 prices just contact ourselves and we will set up a WhatsApp group and get dates looked at with flights etc.
We recommend 5 days, 4 nights with 3 days riding, this is just £750. 2 or as many 'as you want' days riding available.
This also includes Breakfast and Dinner (Tea) at the Hotel which is an 'All you can eat' buffet 😁
Lunch is bought at an eatery by Ibrahim with even a cheeky beer to wash it down.
Flights range from £120-200 with 20kg baggage but Ibrahim can supply all your riding kit.
A £100 Deposit will get you the 2023 prices so get booked on, just message us to set up your WhatsApp group.

Happy faces all round this weekend, a few returning lads some new to the sport locals and a Leeds bunch tackled the lanes of the Peaks.
The recent heavy rain has made some more interesting which we like, the more technical the better it slows the pace but gets the heart pumping 😁
Headlights were needed and most of us realised they were sh*te 🤣
Time to invest those nights draw in fast now, it was light when we went into the pub for a Lemonade 😀
Everyone back safely the odd crash including myself due to a rock hiding in the water the sneaker begger 🙈
NOVEMBER dates already out.
THIS SUNDAY 5th a possibility but obviously a few bonfires going on but will give it 24hrs to see if numbers there.

After a late cancellation and a late late booking 3 lads from Rovrum came out for a play.
2 had found a few lanes before but after making a few mistakes wanted to know what's legal.
The day started with fine moist mist but cleared so extra lanes added as our other rider was only here last week so new bits shown.
110 miles all up and back safe returning at 6.15 after a puncture slowed our day but we still managed a pub stop.
That's it for September we're at the races next week with EDGE OFFROAD.
OCTOBER DATES filling fast so be quick.

Well Saturday's forecast was horrendous, heavy rain all day, thankfully by 11.30 it had stopped and even dried out.
Lucky for us the highest water levels seen since winter were upon us making for some entertaining crossings.
Telford, Birmingham, Castle Donington, Nottinghamshire and Oskar who rode all the way from Reading visited.
3 with no waterproofs bottoms despite the forecast and 2 with no jackets 🙈🤣
Thanks god it stopped raining lads did well a decent pace no pub stop due to timings but still not back til 6.30 due to a late puncture.
Thanks again lads was a pleasure glad we all made the effort a good laugh.

The recent rain meant our last Tour got to sample some rising water levels and big puddles 😁
A mixture of skill set meant we tried to cater for all and didn't leave the 'new to the game' last man knackered by not giving him enough recovery time.
With that said he got better and better and will hopefully stick to his new hobby 👌
A great day with only the odd shower and we even managed a bowl of chips at the pub with a posh cafetiere coffee for some and a zero alcohol beer for others 😉
Back just before 6 after around 105 miles , thankscagain lads.

We will do separate groups for abilities but you need to have technical skills I.e be able to ride confortably standing, have good balance and tackle hills, there's 3 mountains to play on 😁

Friday gone saw 3 singles join us from Essex, North Yorkshire and Nottingham for a steady day on the Lanes which suited our 56yo BAB trying Enduro stuff and our 52yo 890 rider with our 29yo getting fitter not allowed to ride on Sundays as has to have the day off work Monday returnee 😁
Then Saturday we had our group from Guildford Surrey who had a few beers Friday night in Sheffield so we started 1 hour later to suit but 1 still didn't make it still 🙈
With Saturday running later we held good speed and got around quickly so our obligatory pub stop was put back in after a dip at the 3 Shires 😁, with fresh BBQ burgers to be had at The Star Inn, Tideswell we dropped on it perfect.
Returning 6.30 lads then packed up and had hotel booked another night to visit Parkwood Off Road Centre at TONG Sunday.
We met them there and PLET got to do some hard stuff plus see other mates and previous customers 👌
All in all a great weekend.

Splish splash our last Tour saw a couple of returning lads plus Norwich and Leeds/Bradford in the house.
The weather was dry water levels low and pace mixed but we always look after the slower riders getting them through 👌
The odd crash and 1 bee sting Amber Heard style 🐝😂

Sunday saw our weekend warriors out for a play in the Peaks.
We were honoured to have our 1st L plater just 1 day after his 17th Birthday along with his Dad.
Danielsan hit the river run 1st and wasn't a slouch so held with the pack easily.
Racing MX helped as he had good bike skills but his 125 4 stroke wasn't a wheel lifter.
Just shows what can be achieved with a competent rider. 👌
A great group altogether an absolute pleasure to guide them we even managed a pub stop for the best bowl of chips you'll ever have at The Star Inn Tideswell.
Back around 5.30 as we'd stopped in the day to help out an old customer who's £700 rebuild didn't fix his electrical issue 🤔
NOW onto EDGE OFFROAD THIS WEEKEND at SPAUNTON QUARRY probably THE BEST ENDURO VENUE GOING in the UK!!

We were out at it again this weekend, 3 lads from Bradford way and 2 from East Sussex made the trip to visit the best lanes in the Peaks.
Our Yorkshire lads had done the Peaks before but did loads of lanes new to them before 1 of them started having fuel issues.
Luckily I'd seen this before and diagnosed an injector issue.
With tools out I whipped off the throttle body and got the little fe**er out.
With a black substance on it and in the throttle inlet i wiped it clean to refit and full power was resumed 👌
Then onto the river run, with the lads getting through fine few dabs here and there then my rear gunner Al came through and unfortunately had a lye down 😂
Air filter out, bike on back wheel and drain. Air filter squeezed dry and she fired up no bother 👍
Onwards to the famous 3 Shires Head and kept on til we made the pub, a nice pint at the Star Inn Tideswell followed by the best chips goin with Sheffields own Hendersons Relish 👌
Back a little later due to stoppages around 6 but lads were buzzing with their day, even with a 4.5hr drive home 🙈
