An amazing initiative to spread a bit of Christmas cheer as well as raise funds for a local charity. Supported by local shops, you can find trail maps in All is Good, Cafe Creme and Pen*stone Leisure Centre. All the Gonks are individual and have their own little story. Please take part and donate a little something to this amazing charity. Thank you.

Small independent businesses can't compete with the Big Boy Black Friday (NO)Deals. ColourFriday is about the independents. Please remember what your indies give in abundance ALL YEAR ROUND, for FREE instead. They bring colour and individuality to your high street. Please buy from your independent retailers who offer experience, excellent customer service and go the extra mile for you, or the makers that make you say "I saw this and I thought of you" rather than "Oh, this will do!"⁠ The gift shops, the cafes, the clothes shops, the veg shops, the butchers, the bra shops, the DIY shops, the hairdressers, the craft shops are the ones who make up your high street. Without them there would be no vibrancy, no colour.

As part of a National Lighting of Beacons for D-Day 80, the Pen*stone Agricultural Society will be holding a FREE event on their show field on Thursday 6th June from 6.30pm onwards.

Music, food, bar, children's activities, beacon lighting at 9.15pm.

***BIG ANNOUNCEMENT***

The Wise Donkey could have had a moment of madness but decided he wanted the OPENING DAY TO BE ON WORLD BOOK DAY AT THE NEW GROUND FLOOR SHOP!!! THURSDAY 7TH MARCH!!!

To celebrate both monumental occasions on the day…
- Buy One Get One Book Free on all story, activity, chapter & educational books! (same value/cheaper book free!)
- FREE wooden bookmark for every child
- 50p donation on behalf of every child from the The Wise Donkey to The Yorkshire Children’s Charity.
- There could even be FREE cupcakes 😉
- We will be open until 6pm so everybody at school or after school clubs can visit.

We will be now much more accessible for everybody AND there are parking spots right outside the shop (if available!).

THANK YOU for all your custom and support since we opened in December and that’s one of the main reasons we are pushing hard to get this done.
