Are you looking for a challenging and exciting role within the Hotel and Travel Industry? Well look no further!

Venue Options are an award-winning booking agent, specialising in accommodation, meetings, conference, events and rail reservations for corporate clients. Due to continued growth, we are looking for new a new Meetings & Events Manager to join our team.

In this hands-on role you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing and management of all client enquiries, department needs and team members.

You should have a key understanding of all components that go in to creating a successful meeting, conference, event or group as the role will encompass research and recommendation of appropriate destinations, venues, suppliers and partners, whilst always considering the needs of the client. Your proactive approach to negotiation of prices and contracts for maximum cost savings will drive value and create opportunity on each reservation.

Additionally, you will be required to handle individual accommodation requests, using multiple industry sources, including GDS, you will be required to research, negotiate and propose options in order to secure the business! Requirements range from a single night stay, through to multi nights and project stays, predominantly in the UK, but also globally.

Hotel/venue, travel or strong administration background
A good knowledge of UK geography would be a distinct advantage
Knowledge of online booking providers inc. GDS (not essential as training will be given)
Proven customer service experience Great administration skills
Excellent telephone manner
Quick to learn attitude
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have excellent administration skills, demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and possess a desire and ability to work to targets and deadlines.
