Clever Leo was such a good boy at Upton horse trials today, 23 dressage and double clear to finish 5th in the BE100, his muppet of a jockey got confused with my watch so we picked up some time 🤦🏼♀️ moving us down the placings. Dexter had his first run with his new pilot @finnhealy_eventing, producing a 27 dressage, 4faults sj and a lovely clear xc with planned time in the novice. Feeling super proud of Treamble and Finn Team Healy Eventing after competing at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre in the CCI-S 3* at the weekend. They came 2nd place🥈producing a super double clear inside the time to finish on their dressage score of 28.3! Another great result for them at what was only their second run at this level 🥳🥂💙

Today we dusted off the show gear and visited Golden Valley Equestrian centre to do some BS with homebred 5yo Broadstone Lion Man 🌟🦄🙌🏼

This little chap and I had our first trot round the indoor on our own today. Alfie is such a lovely young horse to work with, he has such a willing kind attitude. It’s been a very busy couple of weeks here’s a little update of what we have been up to.
Dexter and Dora both went to Kelsall Hill Horse trials for the 2* and 3*. Dora did a much more respectable dressage for 34.2 😅she jumped a lovely clear sj, i decided to save her for another day as she didn’t really need the xc run so we enjoyed some fitness work on the gallops instead.
Dexter produced a beautiful test for 26.6, we had one unfortunate pole in the SJ but a super clear xc adding 1.2 time to finish 4th!! 🤩🥳
I have also recently got a lovely new mare, co-owned with John Steels, Wilma to her friends has a really sweet temperament and a super jump, I am really enjoying producing her. Looking forward to getting her out and about jumping soon. Im very grateful for this exciting opportunity. 😊
Dora and Dexter have since have been to Ian Woodhead for dressage lessons, both horses were super and I am thrilled with where their training is at. 🥰
We then took a trip to Johns for some SJ sessions.
We had 3 very productive sessions with Leo, Dora and H.
And today we have been out to a BS show at vale view.
Dexter produced a lovely clear in the Newcomers, he also jumped well in the foxhunter just having a pole coming out of the double.
H was back out at his first show this season and he jumped a lovely double clear.
Dora jumped in the foxhunter also having the same pole out of the double but she jumped well.
I’m looking forward to Richmond on Friday with the eventing ponies! 😆
Thank you so much to @mr.john.steels for all your help with my showjumping. I never thought I would enjoy this phase so much. After every lesson and show I come away having learnt lots, feeling more confident and hungry to jump more! So much so that as much as I love eventing I have decided to just event Dora and Dexter and enjoy more jumping with the others!

This weekend has been a busy one at @somerfordparkofficial International Horse Trials. Broadstone Numero Uno was awesome in her first 2* with a dressage of 32.5, she jumped double clear picking up 9.6 time faults on the xc. Finishing 19th 🥳 HHS Sterling was super in his first 2*. He was a little green in the dressage but still gained a good mark of 31.4, an unlucky 4 faults sj and a super xc round picking up 7.6 time faults put him in 21st! 🤩 Treamble was amazing, she lead the dressage with 25.8, sadly we had an unlucky rail in the showjumping for 4 faults, an awesome xc round inside the time meant we finished 2nd! 🤩🥂🥳 With a huge class of 97 competitors, I could not be more proud of my horses, all 3 in the prize money!!! Kelsall Update!!
Last weekend we made the trip to Kelsall Hill Horse Trials. Such a lovely event!
We had some good results and some educational runs!
HHS Sterling aka Dexter was a ⭐️! He produced a super test for 21.4, had an unlucky pole SJ, I decided to give him a steady run xc but he covers the ground more than I realised only picking up 1.2 time penalties to finish 6th in the BE100. Looking forward to going Novice next! 😆
Inevitable RS aka H competed in the 2*, I was super pleased with his test. Great to see big improvements in this phase with him. He had 4 faults sj and annoying we picked up 20 pens on xc. Only myself to blame but he felt very classy around the rest of the course.
Treamble also competed in the 2*. I was super thrilled with her test to lie 5th after dressage. Unfortunately the jumping phases didn’t go as well as normal. A miscommunication in the sj meant we picked up 14 penalties and on xc brakes/steering issues meant we picked up an annoying 20 pen coming out of the water.
I’m disappointed with my own performance riding these two horses, some jump practice needed to find some more self belief I think!! I hate feeling like I’ve let the horses down. 🤦🏼♀️😖
HHS Williamstown aka Princess Dora did the dressage in the intermediate- she did a lovely test for 26.8. I decided to give her a little bit longer before we run her sj and xc as her cracked heels are looking so much better but not quite 100%. Can’t wait to run her next time! 😆
We then finished off the weekend in the BE100 open with Broadstone Numero Uno, she produced a super test for 28 and SJ clear. Unfortunately the xc was abandoned due to a fall. Best wishes to Sam for a speedy recovery.

We’ve recently been taking trips out to the water treadmill.
The water treadmill is so good for the horses, and they all love a paddle!!
It's so incredibly useful for improving their general fitness without the wear and tear on their bodies.
