Travel to Belgium for an overnight stay.
❄️ Day 2:
Travel to our hotel located in the heart of the Austrian Lake District.
❄️ Day 3:
Today we explore the stunning winter scenery of the Austrian Lake District. We begin the day in the beautiful village of Hallstatt; one of the most photographed spots in Austria. We then continue to Bad Ischl, the former summer residence of the great Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. The town has been associated with the Habsburg dynasty for over 700 years and is home to the Imperial Villa in which the Emperor, Franz Josef I, called “heaven on earth” for him and his family. This afternoon we visit the pretty town of St. Wolfgang.
❄️ Day 4:
We journey across the River Danube into the Czech Republic and to the delightful town of Ceský Krumlov on our optional excursion. Dominated by a castle stretching over the meandering Vltava River, Ceský Krumlov's narrow cobblestone streets offer cosy inns, inviting coffee shops, and ancient taverns.
❄️ Day 5:
We begin the day in Salzburg, one of the most beautiful cities in Austria. From lovely squares and medieval lanes, to gothic churches and quaint cafés, you will have time at leisure to explore everything Salzburg has to offer. This afternoon we visit the crystal clear Lake Mondsee where we spend time in the delightful and principal resort of Mondsee, located on the banks of the lake. Home to the Basilica of St. Michael, the famous wedding church where Maria married Georg von Trapp in the film ‘The Sound of Music’, this gothic former monastery is just as striking today as ever with its two towers stretching 52 metres high.

Our Story

We are a friendly and welcoming team here at Hays Travel Sherborne and are all passionate about travel - I am Karen, the Manager and have been in travel for 24 years. All of this time with Hays Travel and I took over as Branch Manager in Sherborne in November 2014 after a 5 year Branch Manager position in Crewkerne. My favourite holiday destinations are Croatia, Turkey, Canada and Kenya. I also have a passion for cruising and have cruised on a variety of cruise lines throughout the Mediterranean. Let me introduce you to the team here in Sherborne:

Katie has been in travel for more than 18 years and lists Sicily, Jordan, Santorini, Croatia and Turkey amongst her favourite destinations.

Beth, has recently completed her 2 year apprenticeship and is now a fully qualified Travel Consultant. She has spent time in Australia and Bali before joining us. She has a love of Turkey and has travelled widely across Europe

Michaella, our 1st year apprentice joined us in September after travels through Europe by rail and is enjoying meeting all of our customers and getting to know the travel industry.
