'Fabulous'
The 5* says it all!
A fabulous stay at Red Rose Cottage and we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

The cottage was lovely and had a very homely feel. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, and a lot more. We have stayed in many cottages over the years, I don't think we have ever been in one that was as so well stocked as Red Rose with kitchen/bathroom items that you usually have to take with you or buy when you arrive!

Richard really has thought of everything you need for a stay.

The treats that greeted us upon arrival were a lovely touch and really appreciated after a long journey!

We very much look forward to returning. All in all cannot fault anything and can't wait to return. Thanks again :-)

Superb, very well equipped Cottage in the Heart of Sidmouth for a stay in Aug 2024

What a wonderful and well-equipped cottage in the heart of Sidmouth, literally a stone’s throw from the main street, shops and just a 5-minute stroll to the beach. The Ford is close by along with plenty of green spaces for walks. Although very close to the town it is in a quiet location.

The Cottage itself is over 3 floors with 3 bedrooms all with very comfy beds. There are TVs in the 2 double bedrooms which is a nice touch. The double bedroom on the top floor has twin beds and on request can be made into a king size.

The single room is a good size and overlooks the courtyard. All bedrooms have wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. In the kitchen there is everything and I mean everything you would need and more. The air fryer was an unexpected bonus along with cakes, Fizz and milk on arrival, Thank you Richard.

Parking at first can be a challenge but after a few attempts this was mastered but anything bigger than a Medium sized Hatchback or SUV and you may struggle as you may have to park at an angle. I have an A3. Saying that there are plenty of nearby car parks and if you are lucky, you can get a free on street space if you have a bigger car or are not confident in reversing down the street.

To be honest Sidmouth has so much to see and do we only went out in the car a couple of times, one for grocery shopping and one day visiting the nearby Donkey Sanctuary which is well worth it (and its FREE!).

There is a courtyard at the back of the cottage with seating for just chilling out with a glass of Fizz. The Shower room is modern with a great shower which has a small and large shower head. The property has a modern combi-boiler so hot water is literally on tap. Bath and hand towels were provided for each guest which was greatly appreciated. If you do stay in, there are DVD’s, Radio, books, and board games to enjoy. The lounge has a “Smart” TV so you can log in to most of your subscription accounts if needed.

Superb accommodation can’t fault it and the owner Richards communication was quick and detailed.
5 Stars all the way.

Call me biased, but I agree with every word!

We have some limited availability for short breaks in November & early December, but you're too late for Christmas as its been nabbed by regulars!

Wonderful accommodation! Great communication from Richard. Set up at Red Rose cottage is perfect...if they haven't provided it you dont need it. We felt at home straight away and relaxed into our holiday. Arrival treats were a lovely surprise. Would definitely book again.

As the summer season starts to slow down we are once again pleased to offer short breaks at Red Rose Cottage. We have availability from the 25th September for minimum three night breaks - £110* per night, sleeps five.

If you are considering a Christmas / New Years Eve getaway, come to magical Sidmouth from £175* per night (minimum three nights) and of course you can bring your pooch!

We have two weeks in August that have become available unexpectantly.
Saturday 17th August - 24th August
Saturday 24th August - 31st August

We have slashed the nightly rate from £140 to an amazing £95 per night (subject to seven night stay, Saturday changeover)
